Because people apparently care about this, Time magazine has compiled a running count of U.S. President Barack Obama’s golf outings – including a detailed list of his tee partners.
Obama’s favorite golf buddy? “First Bro” Marvin Nicholson, who is officially employed by taxpayers as the White House’s “trip director.”
According to Time, Obama and Nicholson have teed it up together in 103 of the 145 rounds of golf Obama has played since taking office. And while you’d think a rash of domestic scandals, a souring economy and the push for war with Syria would occupy Obama’s time of late – you’d be wrong.
“His outing with Nicholson and sports journalists Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon on September 14 marked the 11th straight weekend that (Obama) has played, dating back to an Africa trip in late June that pulled him away from the game for a few days,” Time reports. “Between a birthday celebration at the Andrews Air Force Base on Aug. 3, six rounds during a week in Martha’s Vineyard, and two weekend outings in the Washington region after returning, he set a personal record of nine outings in the month of August. He squeezed in the last of those outings shortly after he announced that he would seek Congressional approval for a military strike on Syria.”
Obama has shot 32 rounds of golf so far this year – meaning he will likely break his personal record of 34 rounds set in 2011.
Must be nice …
Obama’s golf habit doesn’t give us much heartburn. Nor did former president George W. Bush’s chronic absenteeism. The more both of these presidents were away from the office, the better for the country as far as we’re concerned.

The fiddle wasn’t invented until the early 16th Century, Nero ruled from 54-68 BCE. Nero played a stringed instrument called a lyre – playing a lyre is better than being a liar I think.
This is supposed to be a scandal? He plays golf on his vacations and weekends? Big deal.
I think the “Big Deal” is what it cost the US Taxpayer for the POTUS to “play” golf! It’s simply not paying greens fee’s and a cart. It’s motorcades, helicopters, and probably well over 100 secret service agents plus local and state law enforcement that WE are paying for him to “play”..
If this were the CEO of some fortune 500 company it would be no big deal. When it cost the US taxpayer 250 to 300K a weekend for him to play golf its a problem.

Those people are going to be with him no matter what. No president stays cooped up in the white house for their entire term.
They have places like Camp David that we spend a fortune a year to maintain! How about they take their ass their instead of wasting so much damn money!
I know the president needs some vacations but I don’t think it would be unreasonable for the POTUS to work a weekend every now and then? Nobody said it would be a rosé garden (no pun intended) but lets don’t lose sight of the big picture.

You don’t “shoot” a round of golf. And at least when he is on the golf course, he isn’t screwing something up. What do you want him to do? Work like the rest of us?
