Remember back in May when the federal government was busted spying on reporters?

We do …

A few days later, in a particularly clumsy attempt at damage control, the Obama administration told U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer (D-New York) to revive a media “shield law” he introduced way back in 2009.

A law that went absolutely nowhere …

“How transparently shameless and self-serving,” we wrote at the time, adding that “shield laws don’t mean sh*t if the government can simply take the information it wants without asking – which is exactly what Obama’s Justice Department did to the Associated Press.”

And not just the Associated Press … the Obama administration has engaged in a war on journalism aimed at silencing those who report on its corruption.

Anyway, in the event you care (and we don’t) Schumer’s “shield law” cleared a U.S. Senate panel this week.

“Thanks to important bipartisan compromises, we’ve put together a strong bill that balances the need for national security with that of a free press,” Schumer claims.

There’s even a sop thrown into bloggers, who would ostensibly be protected from having to reveal their sources under the new legislation.

Here’s our problem, though … as long as Obama’s Justice Department (under corrupt Attorney General Eric Holder) is permitted to continue spying on reporters with impunity, there is absolutely no protection afforded to anyone under a new media “shield law.”

This is nothing but damage control … shameless “reform in name only.” The U.S. Senators who advanced it on the one hand while preserving Obama’s ability to spy on the Fourth Estate should be ashamed of themselves.

Don’t you get it??? The law means nothing to them. They simply do not care!! You have to make them CARE with swift force!
Make examples out of several of them. Hunt them down.

Schumer and Palosi spend most of their waking hours polishing POTUS’s knob.

This law is more then “damage control”, they are actively seeking to be able to define “journalist” and distinguish them from bloggers….because they can control the former and not the latter.

Ultimately, the gov’t will “protect” the former and create more laws tho toss the latter into jail, true the the heritage of the US under the Alien & Sedition acts.

The parasite don’t want free speech, it hurts their feelings.
