I’m not a football fanatic but I thought the Heisman award was for a cumulative of a season’s accomplishments. How can candidates even be thought about until at least mid season?

Why do they have team rankings prior to the first snap of the season?

Something I noticed this weekend…Coach Swinney and Tigers walk in to the stadium wearing jackets and ties, smiling to the crowd and slapping fans hands, occasionally stopping to hug someone or sign an autograph.
Cocks walk into their stadium heads down, looking like they just woke up, all wearing baggy work out shorts, and t-shirts, headphones, doing their best to ignore everyone in their path.

Something I noticed this weekend: Coach Swinney runs down the field first, is the first to do an interview, and the first to put on his cheerleading bloomers. It’s all about the Dabo show. Your players warm up, then leave the stadium and get on a bus. They ride around the stadium and then run down a hill while touching a broken rock that one of your own fans tried to destroy. Dabo is a hypocritical pissant. He told the reporters that he was sick of talking about the past, and wanted to focus on the future. I guess he’s changed his tone since Spurrier owns him.

Well…aside from the part about “the first to put on his cheerleading bloomers. It’s all about the Dabo show”, and through that part about Dabo being a “hypocritical pissant”, The player bus ride, and running down the hill and talking to reporters first has been going on as long as I can remember, since at least the early 80’s. Probably started sometime long before the cocks stole Elvis Presley’s intro (as well as numerous pro wrestlers) and put a run on fire extinguishers. And what is with that chicken jumping around in a cage like he’s stepping on ants? What is that all about?
And really, is there a team that is less team focused and more coach-centric than UCS? Its the “ole ball sack” show in Columbia 24×7. Watch ESPN, or any news outlet–he is the first thing you hear or see–Spurrier running down his players and telling the world how much one of them (or all of them) suck. No wonder they walk into the stadium with their heads down and head phones on–they are dreading dealing with that self important egostical A-hole.
As for history..it seems its only important to Cocks when they are winning. If somehow the cocks win another 22 years consecutively…then the series will just be even. That won’t happen in anybodies lifetime reading this web site. I can live with a 4 or 5 year run every once in a while…’cause history tells me it doesn’t happen that much.

I wonder if Ga Tech fans feel the same way about their series with Clem A&M?

Boy, I led the Tigers down the hill for most of my life beginning in 1939 and running through 1969. Before that I watched as an assistant beginning in 1931. I watched other lead them through 1996.

My Tigers dressed in the old Fike Fieldhouse and walked diagonally across the street to the East End Zone where we confidently ran down the hill before each game.

Dabo is the latest of a couple of dozen Clemson coaches to lead the Tigers down that hallowed ground.

I don’t know about hypocrit but you sure do seem to fit the dictionary definition of pissant.

It’s called “attitude”, USC players want people to believe their bigger in life than they actually are. Dey tryin to act all serious an shit.

Whatever the Cocks are doing has been working pretty well for the past four years. At least against Clem A&M.

They tend to get all butthurt if they don’t hear Clowney or Spurrier several times a day, and start with the conspiracy theories of cops, refs, judges and the entire sports industry.
