Obama-Sheheen Health Care Plan: “Looking A Bit Unaffordable”
We already knew the Obama-Sheheen health care disaster would squeeze small business, but now we learn small business owners will could be forced to cut jobs and cut health care benefits.

Vince Sheheen can continue to parade around South Carolina claiming to be a small business advocate but the facts don’t back him up. He stands with Obama and cheers for the expansion of this health care disaster in South Carolina. It looks like Vince’s real plan for small business in South Carolina includes uncertainty budgeting, increased health care premiums, loss of loyal employees, and forcing business to cut employee health benefits.

I think you misread the title. I think it means: Sheheen AND his support of Obamacare are unaffordable, not that Sheheen is saying that it’s unaffordable.

It is interesting to note, Pew Research shows that more Republican families than Democratic parents are taking advantage of continuing health insurance coverage for their offspring up to age 26. I’m also thinking Republicans with pre-existing health conditions will be glad to have affordable coverage available even if they decide not to enroll via the “exchange.” Getting your Grandmother coverage before age 65 is important to many SC families.
Reforming the complex human institution of health care is difficult and complicated. The Affordable Care Act may not be the perfect solution but Democrats were will to try and not just say NO! to millions of working people who can’t get health insurance. Remember, Democrats stole the ideas from Republicans/Conservatives at the Heritage Foundation. It is your God Child you know.
Just one catch…having coverage after the Act will be anything but affordable. Basic math when just the two inclusions you mention. Also MD’s are retiring early with few coming up to replace them let alone the same situation in nursing. The cost-benefit of the Act as written, as delayed, with targeted exemptions will break the system apart turning the Act into it’s true intent, a tax increase leading to a single payer system with unaffordable premiums and a degraded delivery system for all future generations. Any idea what it costs ATT to cary one employee? Total annual cost is 18k. Premiums can hit over 1000.00 a month or face IRS wage garnishing or even prison for opting out.
I hardly ever vote Democrat and NEVER at the Federal level; but, I’m voting Sheheen over the unmitigated disaster of another four (4) years of a Haley screwed up mess.

We certainly cannot afford health care under the GOP status quo plan of the free market.
Voldemort and Brewer changed their tunes when faced with facts concerning the number of jobs created under Obamacare. 70,000 and 30,000 respectively. Haley, in SC as in Miss, can dismiss the projected 40,000 jobs and still be reelected simply because of the R. Insanity.
How do you think any added new jobs will be funded? Higher monthly premiums, perhaps? Nice logic there…not
This pandering approach by the Haley forces to the examination of real issues is very disappointing. No aspect of living in the USA is increasing in cost as much as is health care. The Republicans offer no alternatives to that–only opposition to the President’s plan. At least he is trying to do something. They are not. The bottom line is health care is nearly already unaffordable and if allowed to continue as is will be out of the reach of everybody in the near future. Obamacare may not be the full answer but it at least gives us a vehicle to address the problem and hopefully fix it. I strongly support VINCENT Sheheen’s approach and wish Haley would be honest with us in her administration and her campaign. Shame on them for believing SC citizens are dumb enough to accept her approach. It is insulting. She should respect the intellect of our citizenry and treat them like adults when addressing such important issues.
I wish I could agree with you that South Carolina voters will suddenly get good sense and vote for any candidate for anything based on South Carolina’s problems and issues.
But, they prove over and over they would rather vote against local and state Democrats on national issues that a local or state candidate can do nothing about than think about which candidate in a local or state race will do the best job for South Carolina.
Continuing on the current path is even less acceptable. Recommend a constructive alternative, or find another drum to bang.
