Name Game: Vince Sheheen? Vincent Sheheen?

There is a standing order in the reelection campaign of S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley (RINO-Lexington) – a silly order, but a standing one nonetheless. There is a standing order in the reelection campaign of S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley (RINO-Lexington) – a silly order, but a standing one nonetheless. At all times, her presumed 2014 general election opponent – S.C. Senator Vincent Sheheen (D-Columbia) – is to be referred to as “Vince Sheheen.”

Accordingly all statements from Haley’s campaign (and the S.C. Republican Party) refer to the Camden, S.C. trial lawyer as “Vince,” not “Vincent.”

How come? According to our sources, Haley’s team has polled both names and believe South Carolina general election voters are more likely to dislike and/or distrust an individual named “Vince” as opposed to “Vincent.”

Wow … gotta love politics, right?

Seriously .. why didn’t they poll “Vinny,” too?

Anyway, we don’t think this distinction is going to make a bit of difference. Barring the entry of a credible third party candidate in the 2014 race, Haley is likely to win a second term – which is pretty astounding when you consider what an unmitigated disaster her first term has been (see “Savannah River Sellout,” #SCHacked, our state’s sputtering economy and her habitual deception and hypocrisy).

But Haley should probably tread carefully when it comes to playing games with other people’s names. After all, she’s changed her own name to appear more palatable to voters …

More importantly whether it’s “Nimrata Randhawa” (a.k.a. Nikki Haley) or “My Cousin Vinny” – South Carolinians don’t have much to choose from. Both major party candidates are big government backers who are committed to the same failed crony capitalist/ welfare statist approach which continues to hold South Carolina back.

The name for that? “Failure.”

I’ll bet Vincent’s campaign would never stoop that low.

I wonder if “Vince’s” team will call her Nick Haley.

I hope they refer to her as Governor Nimrata Randhawa Haley from this day forward.
And, I hope someone polls whether they think that Trikki is Native American type of Indian or the child of immigrants from India. I know Democrats who think she’s Native American. I bet lots of people in Louisiana think the same thing about Bobby Jindal.

So did they poll “Vice” Sheheen, though that seems to be better for our Lexington Vince ring…

BTW is Steve Benjamin still covering up that Ring around the collar or is it being covered up (extortion) as good ol’ ‘lumbia town bubbaz does?

I’d go with “the guy in the empty suit”, “the twit from Camden”, “the ambulance chaser from Camden”, “dipstick” or “what’s his name”. To paraphrase Shakespeare, “A turd by any other name would still smell as foul”

You sound like a fifth grader. You, sir, are pitiful.

I’m rubber and your glue, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you!

My “fifth gradedness aside, Vincent “Vince” “the empty suit” Sheheen is in fact nothing more than a tax and spend Democrat. He is in fact a “trial lawyer” (ambulance chaser) from Camden, SC. He does in fact have the personality and presence of a “what’s his name” – he is infinitely forgettable.

If he manages to beat Haley, he’ll follow in the footsteps of two of our previous “goobernors” Hodges and Beasley, “one, done and forgotten”.

Dear Vincent Sheheen, do you understand how to counter this hit piece.? Considering that your message and voter awareness is in the doldrums, we highly suggest you get out some cannons and get on the Tara Servacious show on WTMA and set the record straight on what name to call you. Furthermore, take plenty of time to bash this website and Wil Folks for using this website to bash your name instead of informing its readers about the Solar Energy fiasco that is brewing in Columbia.

http://www.postandcourier.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=%2F20130823%2FPC16%2F130829734%2F1177%2Fsouth-carolina-utilities-regulators-drop-plans-for-solar-energy-forum-after-complaint-from-electric-power-coops#_=_

Point blank ask Tara what her monthly electric bill is and ask her how much it has gone up. Ask her if she ever stopped to consider her energy bill when considering homes for her family. Ask her if she would buy a home that produced MORE energy and made monthly income instead of a home that consumed foreign energy..? Ask her to ask Wil Folks the next time he is asked to comment why he did not report on the SC taxpayer scam..??

Come on Vincent………if you don’t make any waves for Wil Folks then how do you think your going to make waves when you get in office..?

Vincent….its time to step up to the plate and take a swing.

zoomru, I bet you’re really pissed the Public Service Commission cancelled a conference/seminar about solar energy at the behest of the SC electric cooperatives?

Mr. Wil Folks,

Your continued display of energy apathy is very telling. Are you really trying to get a BP sponsorship..? Heck why wait, just get out a SHARPIE and write BP on your noggin..!

Dear Darla Moore,

We wonder if you call Mr. Sheheen “Vince” or “Vincent”…? Heck, maybe that would make a great poll question on this website..? Care to take a wager on what Amy Lazenby call Mr. Sheheen…?

I’d vote for a dead, maggot infested possom before Haley!

So, someone with the given name “Nimrata” who goes by “Nikki” is going to try to use a name that polls worse for an opponent?

Her shame known no bounds in my opinion.

Did Vincent/Vince/Vinny ask Uncle Bob, Aunt Jean and mentor Dick Harpo what he is supposed to say now? What did he promise ole Jim Clyburn? Get your own freaking life and personality Vincent if you plan on being governor. The same old tired Democrative party crap.
