Like U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (RINO-S.C.) – former GOP presidential nominee John McCain is the very worst sort of “Republican.” In fact he’s not really a “Republican” at all, he’s a big spender, warmonger and unapologetic enemy of our constitutional liberties. He’s also the latest establishment GOP figure to demonstrate some galling hypocrisy when it comes to the forthcoming presidential election.
According to McCain, were the 2016 race to come down to a decision between former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton – the likely 2016 Democratic frontrunner – and fiscally conservative U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky), it would be a “tough choice” for him.
In an interview with New Republic dubbed “Undecided 2016 Voter,” McCain referred to Clinton as a “rock star” – while in previous comments he has referred to Paul and other fiscally conservative Senators as “whacko birds.”
Hmmmm …
Here’s the thing … McCain is entitled to vote for whomever he wants. And given his record as a U.S. Senator, it’s not surprising he would find himself leaning toward supporting Hillary Clinton. Our problem? McCain is doing exactly what the GOP establishment has condemned libertarians for doing in the past: Voting their conscience. Which is funny because you better believe McCain would be the first one to play the “Republicans gotta stick together” card when his buddy Graham winds up in trouble in the Palmetto State.

We addressed this hypocrisy prior to the 2012 election, saying “there is simply no room in the new Republican tent for those people who endorse traditionally ‘Republican’ fiscal values. There is only room for those who swallow the rhetoric of special interest-fed blowhards intent on eroding our liberties and digging this nation’s fiscal hole even deeper than it already is.”

In the vast majority of cases, I have nothing but the utmost respect for the brave men and women who have served our country honorably and who have continued to live what I would call, “honorable lives or existences”, later in life. This includes the numerous vets who are homeless, in part, due to psychological horrors they endured in the service of our country.
That said, I have no respect for some POS who has sought fame, fortune (at our expense), and who has and is engaged in numerous acts which at best fall short of treason against our country and way of life. Military service should not be a free pass for treason and in my opinion, it isn’t.

McCain and his wife treated them to dinner that night. Jerry said that McCain always treated his crew with respect and never had reason to criticize any of them.
