Better than that, let her be a wing walker. She already knows how to walk on a wing- ding (according to an unreliable source).

We are helping our country by spreading the word of freedom to one percent of Castro’s Communist Cuba, comrade…I mean, citizen.

Of course, we could always have some Cuban officials visit Detroit to shame them by showing what a true democracy can accomplish.

Of
course there are still “hard-line anti-Castro members of Congress.” Who do you think those elderly South Florida
Cubans vote for? And those members happen
to be Republicans. Republicans love
Cubans — not Mexicans, Hondurans, Panamanians, Colombians, Dominicans, Puerto
Ricans, and Guatemalans, et al. – just Cubans.
These Cubans, allied with whites from the panhandle and Florida’s
northern strip, have been the mainstay of Republican power in Florida for many
years. If this wasn’t a reality, the Republicans wouldn’t like Cubans either. What this story really exposes is the
continuing sham of Republican fiscal responsibility. They love to feed at the public trough as
much as anybody else.

So by your logic, Democrats hate Cubans, since success with a particular ethnic group to you evidences proof as to your racial animus towards that group. Brilliant analysis.

What this means is Repubs successfully pander to South Florida Cubans via such ridiculous efforts as TV Free Cuba — without regard to the genuine trade or foreign policy interests of the U.S. or their own empty claims of fiscal responsibility. In other words, they place political advantage over the good of the nation.

So your brilliant insight is that political parties pander to their bases? And what exactly do Democrats do with their voting blocs, such as the unions?

Fidel has pretty much retired, and Raul says he doesn’t want to run again. So much for anti-Castro.
I say Cuba should return the favor and beam us something annoying, like non-stop HeadOn commercials.

On winter evenings not that many years ago one could easily hear Cuban baseball games and Castro’s speeches from Havana on AM radio in Columbia.

We have diplomatic and trade relations with rotten SOBs all over the world, but not with Cuba. Gee, you think that fact has something to do will politics in Florida? Let’s stop allowing a small minority to dictate U.S. foreign and trade policy. The Cold War is over!

You do know that TV Marti was begun under the St. Ronald Reagan administration and, therefore, has been going on for years. Planes, balloons, blimps, you name it. Of course, the Cubans have jammed the signals for years. But the GOP Conservatives had the keep the wealthy Miami Cubanos happy.

“hard-line anti-Castro members of Congress?” = REPUBLICANS !!!!!
Why don’t you name some names?
Obama has tried to shut this down, but in anything-he’s-for-I’m-against land of the GOP, he’s supposed to be a traitor if he wants to cut it out.
