With a rare exception here and there, U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-South Carolina) can usually be counted on to act in support of American liberties and tax dollars.
Which is good … we need more people like that in Washington, D.C.
But Gowdy isn’t making news in our nation’s capitol for his votes … he’s making waves with his ‘do. According to the website BuzzFeed, Gowdy has “the most confusing hair in Congress” – a declaration the website followed with an interesting (and pop culture reference-laden) photo gallery of his various hairstyles.

I watch an average of 12 hours a week of CSPAN, Gowdy is typically “fighting” for the Americans he represents on the daily. More elected officials should conduct themselves like him. I’m about as skeptical as they come, Trey Gowdy gives me hope for America.

He certainly likes to point out his experience as a former prosecutor. I really don’t care by the accent, but it does play in people’s perception that he is nothing but a vapid tea party template.

But I am no bigot, either, on any level, and am proud of the 300+ years my families have lived in this state.
My goal, if I can be said to have any, is to get everyone in this state to get along, get rich, and leave each other be at the same time.
