So the wall of waves breaking on our home page is back … which can mean only one thing: Our founding editor is off to the Dirty Myrtle (a.k.a. Myrtle Beach, S.C.) for a week of bodysurfing.
Yet while we’ll be shutting down FITS for the week … we won’t be completely out of pocket. In fact among other things, we will continue to compile your nominations for our 2013 Alicia Florrick Award, presented pseudo-annually to the state’s hottest female lawyer. In fact as we were packing for our vacation, a few impressive new nominations came over the tip wire.
First, we have Jessica Godwin (formerly of the Strom Law Firm, currently working in the S.C fifth circuit solicitor’s office) …
And next up we have Lauren Taylor, who runs her own firm in Greenville, S.C.
Yeah … now we’re getting somewhere, people …

When we get back from the beach, we’ll publish all of the nominations and solicit your feedback regarding who should be among our five finalists. Then we’ll let you vote on the winner from that group …
