More On Nikki Haley’s “Dead Voters”

We’ve already had plenty of fun debunking S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley‘s claim about “dead voters” participating in South Carolina elections.

We knew Haley was full of it – and said so.

For those of you who missed this drama, last year Haley’s Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) alleged 957 deceased South Carolinians had cast votes in the most recent statewide election.

“In my opinion, and I’m not an expert in this area, dead guys shouldn’t be allowed to vote,” Haley’s SCDMV director Kevin Shwedo said last January – less than two weeks before South Carolinians voted in a presidential primary election.

We agree dead people shouldn’t be allowed to vote (duh) … but there’s one big problem here. The “dead voters” claim was totally bunk.

After the Haley administration made this allegation, the S.C. Election Commission (SCEC) requested the names of these 957 “dead voters” – but were only give six of them. Of those six “dead voters,” SCEC director Marci Andino discovered one who died after casting an absentee ballot and five who were … wait for it … very much alive and eligible to vote. Andino’s agency eventually obtained more than 200 of the alleged “dead voters” on Haley’s list – yet no dead voters were found among these names, either.

Now comes additional evidence proving Haley’s “dead voter” claim was yet another lie from her administration …

A report prepared – but never released – by the S.C. State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) confirmed Andino’s findings. This report was obtained via an open records request made by The (Columbia, S.C.) Free TimesSLED – another of Haley’s cabinet agencies – refused to comment on the report.

How convenient …

“They lied to our entire state and then they lied to our entire nation,” S.C. Rep. Bakari Sellers (D-Bamberg) told Free Times.

Yup …

But not only did Haley’s administration lie, it spent tax dollars investigating the bogus claim – then tried to bury a report exposing the scam.

Viva transparency!

Do a search. Most voter fraud is done with absentee ballots. That is always a very non-secure way to vote, since there are many reasons an election office can legitimately toss out an absentee ballot and you never know about it.

There’s no voter fraud. Even the ACORN business was a bunch of baloney. They were paying free agents to register voters and rather than actually sign up real voters, they made up the information. I don’t think Mickey Mouse showed up to cast a ballot for Obama.

This is just another conspiracy theory that’s been mainstreamed to explain why Republicans take a beating in Presidential elections. It couldn’t be because nobody is buying what you’re selling. Nope. So they busy themselves with voter ID legislation, limiting early voter, purging voter rolls and making college kids travel home to vote. Yeah, that’s going fix your election day problems. Oh, and a majority of Republicans polled after 2012 said they believe ACORN stole the election. It was disbanded in 2010.

The Republicans should stick to gerrymandering. It’s all they got left.

Hey FITS: you BLITHERING Idiot: Do your homework…

Florence (SC) Man Charged With Voter Fraud with 1,500 names

Florence, SC – A Florence man has been arrested on charges of using names and personal information of people – including the Florence mayor – on more than one thousand voter registration forms and turning them in to the county voter registration office.
Prosecutor Ed Clements the third says 44-year-old Terence Hines was taken into custody Wednesday on charges of forgery and multiple counts of fraudulent registration or voting.
The State Law Enforcement Division began investigating soon after Hines turned in more than 15-hundred completed forms to the Florence County Voter Registration Office last week.
Voter registration and elections director Russell Barrett says a registration form for Florence Mayor Frank Willis sent up a red flag. Barrett says he is pretty sure the mayor was already a registered voter and had been for some time.

Florida finds evidence of voter fraud by GOP-tied firm:http://www.salon.com/2013/03/06/florida_finds_evidence_of_voter_fraud_in_gop_tied_firm/

“A Virginia Republican and supporter of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA) pleaded guilty on Tuesday to perjury and 36 counts of voter fraud.”

“Adam Ward, 28, claimed he collected more than 11,000 petition signatures for Gingrich during the Republican presidential primaries, in an effort to ensure the candidate’s embattled campaign had a spot on the state’s ballot. Over 4,000 of those petition signatures turned out to be fake, according to NBC News affiliate WVIR-TV.”

Please produce one single case in SC where it was shown voter fraud influenced an election. Facts do continue to confuse you, and facts do matter.

There is no evidence of voter fraud in SC. Get over it. Its a Republican fantasy. Minorities understand now what is going on. They know what Republicans are up to. I think they will go out of their way to overcome the road blocks Republicans are putting up, just so they can vote against the people who tried to take away their right to vote.

And while you may be confused on who the racist are, no one else is.

More recently, I heard a poli sci professor here in the Lowcountry tell an auditorium of students that there was irrefutable evidence of voter fraud and cited this episode. He’s frequently cited in conservatives publications, which I find ironic considering he apparently doesn’t read the newspaper. They next discussed the impending use of death panels to snuff out grandma. So, you get the drift.
