I mean according to your “living in the past” logic, Harvard, Princeton and Yale are better football schools than Clemson because way bay in 1920 those schools were winning more championships than Clemson. So is Princeton better than Clemson? What about Yale, or Harvard?

well you should answer it yourself. If Tigers want to bring up the lone championship in the past (33 years is almost twice the age of the incoming freshman players on the team, so yeah thats long in the past) then they are not better than Harvard, Yale, Princeton, or many others that have many more. If they want to say those title cant count they were too far in the past, its a sissy cop out but again so is the Tigers (see time pointed out earlier). I know Tigers dont want to use the present because the present says the Gamecocks just kicked your ass in the most recent game there is to go by, and therefor they are not better than than the Gamecocks.
