Of course it i fake, 98% of what the storage units contain garbage, old clothes, and worthless shoddy furniture. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve known people to double/triple what they pay for one sometimes, but it is a gamble.
They want a show where multiple people score something fairly nice every episode. That doesn’t fucking happen. If it were real, they’d probably spend 3 months finding one or two containers that actually had something rare/expensive/valuable in it. The real stupids aren’t the ones who watch this thinking it is reality, they are the ones that think they too can buy storage containers and get huge hauls every other time, with zero knowledge on the value of 90% of what they’d run into. And trust me, some people are good at spotting a few winner items amongst a pile of losers, but most aren’t.
