There’s another “LuLu” looking at a U.S. Congressional bid – and she’s also a celebrity sister.
Lucy “Lulu” Buffett – sister of musician/ businessman Jimmy Buffett – is reportedly being courted by Democrats as a potential candidate for Alabama’s open first congressional district seat, according to The (Mobile, Alabama) Press Register.

Democrats in South Carolina courted Elizabeth Colbert-Busch – sister of comedian Stephen Colbert – to run in the Palmetto State’s vacant first congressional district this year, but she came up short against scandal-scarred former S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford. Colbert-Busch actually had a big lead just days before the vote was held, but she couldn’t overcome the ideological lean of the district toward “Republicans.”
