Earlier this month a truck plunged into a ravine near the Ohio Valley Mall in Clairsville, Ohio. The accident – which left the driver of the semi with only minor injuries (fortunately) – attracted a crowd of rubberneckers in the mall parking lot, many of whom attempted to take pictures of the accident in violation of mall policy.
One overzealous mall cop didn’t like that … one bit.

After initially standing by its security guard, the Ohio Valley Mall later reversed course and fired her, telling The Wheeling News-Register (which we assume is a real newspaper) that she “hadn’t upheld all the standards required of its security officers.”

I don’t know which I enjoyed more (1) when she starts counting and holding up her fingers so the crowd can count with her, or (2) the tussling in the street. Anyway, she didn’t back off even when she got kicked in the head by boots. Personally, I think the mall should put her back on duty – I like her! Please, Sic, don’t delete this video clip (can’t save it?). I’ll be back!

Rodney was the best. I have one of those foot tall dolls on a plastic base with the flailing arms and the rotating head. The head fell off but you can still push the button on the base and listen to Rodney’s routine.

Super classy of all the bystander dudes to just sit there and let this fight go on. The mall cop is clearly a sad, unstable person, and it took some Jonah Goldberg lookalike to stop his car and intervene. They even objected when he tried to break it up. Animals, just white trash animals.

Being a mall cop is serious business apparently. All it takes is asking politely a few times to leave and then call the actual officers to escort them off premises. I guess that’s too difficult when you let such a lowly position go to your head, though.
