Nikki Haley’s “Good Ol’ Boy”

A Democratic memo obtained exclusively by FITS alleges that S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley has a white supremacist on her 2014 gubernatorial steering committee. A Democratic memo obtained exclusively by FITS alleges that S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley has a white supremacist on her 2014 gubernatorial steering committee.

Roan Garcia Quintana (above, with former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour) was one of several SCGOP partisans named to Haley’s grassroots steering committee in February. The Mauldin, S.C. native is executive director of a group called the “Americans Have Had Enough Coalition,” but he’s also purported to be a board member of the Council of Conservative Citizens – a St. Louis-based white nationalist organization.

A Cuban immigrant, Quintana’s activism on behalf of the Council of Conservative Citizens is ironic given that the organization opposes “the massive immigration of non-European and non-Western peoples into the United States” as well as “all efforts to mix the races of mankind.”

Doesn’t that include Cubans?

Anyway, to read the Democratic memo on Quintana, click here.

We don’t think the story is a huge deal, but it is yet another example of Haley’s strange network of supporters. Also, it will be interesting to see whether Haley leaves Quintana on her steering committee.

This asshole gives Mauldin a bad name. The ultimate Uncle Tom who preaches against the very thing that allowed him to come over here in the first place.
But Bobby Mac loves him, so I guess he gets a pass for that.

I’m no fan of Haley, but this “guilt by association” schtick that is practiced in today’s media is ridiculous. Obama got castigated for being friends with Jeremiah Wright, Ron Paul was excoriated for taking money from Stormfront and for newsletters written by friend Lew Rockwell. However, Obama’s policies (foreign policy in particular) place him completely at odds with the policies supported by Wright, and Ron Paul’s libertarian individualism is opposite to the fascist ideas of many Stormfront members, yet no one actually analyzes these facts. Instead, we paint everyone with a large brush and assume that agreement with a fringe group on one issue is agreement on all issues. Now Fits wants to brand Haley a white supremacist because she had a CCC member on her steering committee. On the issue of immigration, members of groups like the CCC are probably the strongest supporters of immigration reform and the most vocal opponents of amnesty. If Haley feels she needs to move right on immigration to win reelection, support from these groups is essential. This is political posturing, not a fullsale adoption of a white supremacist ideology.

Do you think having one white supremacist in Richland County will balance the “we hate white people” mentality of the Columbia City Government and Richland County Government?

Black Panthers will ensure Richland County has a fair and honest election.

Eric Holder supports it.

Many Cuban exiles are overtly racist, perhaps especially those from the first waves long ago now. Cuba has a LOT of black citizens and Castro has gotten decades of support in no small part for fear of the “Miami Cubans” returning to power.

How can a Cuban be a white nationalist? Apparently these bozos don’t even understand who they’re for or against.

Disclaimer: I am not an anthropologist and I do not spend my time thinking about race. That being said, Haley and Quintana’s affiliation is ironic because Quintana is a Hispanic immigrant and Haley is the daughter of Sikh immigrants which would classify her as Asian. Therefore it is not only ironic because of their families’ recent immigration to the United States, but also because neither one of these two idiots would be considered “white”. But it is comical when bigots are so ignorant they hate themselves.
