San Diego Chargers linebacker Melvin Ingram tore his ACL earlier this week at an organized training activity event for the team. Ingram, readers will recall, was an All-American defensive end for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks in 2011.

And while the Hamlet, North Carolina native had a whale of a season that year, he’s probably best remembered for this 68-yard touchdown run on a fake punt against the Georgia Bulldogs …

Incredible …

After electing to turn pro, Ingram was selected by the Chargers with the 18th pick of the 2012 draft. His rookie season did not feature eye popping numbers but he was heading into the 2013 season as the team’s starting outside linebacker.

We wish Ingram all the best in returning back to playing form and hope to see him soon in the powder blue soon …

Dude runs like the wind for 275. I once watched Andy Harmon run a 4.6 40 in college….watching big guys run 4.6 in person is freaky shit.

Great call by Spurrier.
