Convicted infant killer Kermit Gosnell – whose murderous atrocities against viable newborn babies went undetected for decades – has received a life prison sentence after being convicted on three counts of first degree murder this week.

Gosnell reached a deal with prosecutors in which he agreed not to appeal the verdict against him (or the life prison sentence). In exchange, the 72-year-old Pennsylvania abortionist won’t be put to death for his savage inhumanities. That means this monster – who repeatedly plunged scissors into the necks of newborn babies before severing their spinal cords – will receive “three hots and a cot” courtesy of the taxpayers of Pennsylvania for the rest of his life.

Taxpayer advocates are trying to make the most of this ruling, arguing that Gosnell – who is 72 years old – would have subjected taxpayers to far greater costs had he been sentenced to death and gone through the traditional appeals process.

Maybe that’s accurate, but last time we checked “cops and courts” were core functions of government – and “justice” was their objective.

And “three hots and a cot” isn’t justice for Gosnell (rusty lawn shears to the back of the neck, on the other hand …)

The only good news in all of this? Gosnell’s case has prompted this website – which has previously weighed in against gruesome “after birth” abortions – to recommit itself to more aggressively advancing our pro-life position. In fact it is our hope that this case prompts a national awakening when it comes to the most fundamental of all American liberties – the right to life.

What do you think of the Gosnell verdict? Vote in our poll and post your thoughts in our comments section below …

Got a problem with it???….You can thank the left.
They are far more on the side of the murderers than they are the innocent victims.
It happens over and over…as the Trial Lawyers stuff their pockets w/ cash, liberal politicians giggle w/ their hands out…and mothers weep….

Odds are that he will slip on a wet floor, hit his head, be in a coma, awake, be born again, be released, establish a church in northeast North Dakota, hold services 7 days a week, stop by the 4 to 10 every day to purchase a hot dog, bag of chips and a 16oz. coke, sit in nearby park to eat, whereupon a grizzly bear will stop by, eat him alive, belch up his gases then go about the surrounding countryside shitting his remains for the crows to eat and shit again

So be it

He will be popular on his cell block, when his talents are put to use aborting “jelly babies” (aka “Santorum”) for his cell mates.

Regardless of your death penalty thoughts, the appeals would likely run for years, probably until he was dead anyway. This is as good an outcome as could be expected in this case.

I prefer to think of him getting anally raped every day for the next 10 years or so. That, to me, is much worse than death.

Yep, given his age, he’d have died before his appeals ran out anyway. Same as life in prison, really.

Interesting that the abortion industry turned a blind eye to Gosnell, both his butcher shop and his trial, for so long. It is sadly ironic that many presume his fellow prison inmates will have a stronger sense of moral outrage at what Gosnell has done that most pro-choicers have been able to muster.

Good point…I think you are accurate.
Why are people, who in effect agree w/ Gosnell, now bashing him.
He practices as a doctor, and just got caught and prosecuted. Otherwise, he is no different than Obama…

I am still trying to discern how the left convinces itself that what Gosnell did is, in a moral sense, any different than a doctor performing any other late term abortion? Do you honestly believe that geography (whether part of the baby is still in the womb or not) has moral significance? Here is a quote from a nurse describing a procedure the left defended vigorously. Someone please explain to me the moral distinction between this little boy and those babies murdered by Gosnell:

“I stood at the doctor’s side and watched him perform a partial-birth abortion on a woman who was six months pregnant. The baby’s heartbeat was clearly visible on the ultrasound screen. The doctor delivered the baby’s body and arms, everything but his little head. The baby’s body was moving. His little fingers were clasping together. He was kicking his feet. The doctor took a pair of scissors and inserted them into the back of the baby’s head, and the baby’s arms jerked out in a flinch, a startle reaction, like a baby does when he thinks that he might fall. Then the doctor opened the scissors up. Then he stuck the high-powered suction tube into the hole and sucked the baby’s brains out. Now the baby was completely limp. I never went back to the clinic. But I am still haunted by the face of that little boy. It was the most perfect, angelic face I have ever seen.”
