One South Carolina State Senator is blasting his fiscally liberal “Republican” colleagues in a national news story previewing this weekend’s big speech to the S.C. Republican Party by U.S. Sen Ted Cruz (R-Texas).

State Senator Kevin Bryant (R-Anderson) – one of the handful of authentic fiscal conservatives in the S.C. General Assembly – had this to say in an interview with Real Clear Politics:

We have a pretty significant R.I.N.O. problem in South Carolina — folks that are elected go to constituents and talk about how conservative they are, and then when it’s time to vote, they hold hands with Democrats and vote for more government and tax increases. Maybe Sen. Paul and Sen. Cruz will rub off when they’re both down here. I hope so.

Amen to that, dude …

Bryant – who also runs one of the only worthwhile legislative blogs in America – deserves a lot of credit. Not only does he vote the right way, he’s not afraid to call out those who don’t (which is every bit as important).

Props to him …

Wait! He is from Anderson! Sic Willie has told us over and over that Anderson is the land that time has forgotten and there is nothing there but backward, uneducated, inbred hicks.

His Daddy isn’t rich – he’s an independent pharmacist, struggling to keep open among the “discounters”. Daddy is a super-nice guy. I went to Pharmacy school with him in the late 1950s. Don’t know much about The Senator – also don’t much agree with most of his stances.

Kevin Bryant is missing the frontal lobes of his brain. I never knew such stupid dribble could flow from one human beings mouth.

No, really. There’s no way that silly-looking twerp with the bow tie got elected to ANYTHING by Anderson County people. An obvious hoax. Willie, you’ve been had.

This blurb provides useful information about a legislator’s example in the area of increasing citizen access with his blog. It doesn’t mean this fellow is necessarily respectful of our rules of law, or, not corrupt. But, if he’s not moderating citizen posts to keep out any that are sharply critical or have real beefs, this is a terrific first baby step to break status quo autonomy – public employees who willingly disrupt elitist protectionism with real citizen conflict/connection.

Cruz is an imbecile, I hope he doesn’t rub off on anyone as the stains might not come out in the wash.

Bryant is the actual RINO. Sorry, but I don’t think “Republican” means what you think it means, dude. When you’re the odd man out, that doesn’t mean you are part of the club and everyone else is the third wheel. Bryant best not call a spade a spade, lest he alienate the Republican straight-ticket voters who are the only reason he even has a job in politics in the first place.

Too bad the legislation Sen. Bryant introduces are not as conservative as his rhetoric. Check S.359.

Sounds like he is also talking about the almost 75% delegation of the SC GOP too. How much more debt can the SC GOP handle in the next 2 years???

This great conservative voted for Pansy King Reid for the Board of Trustees at the College of Charleston. So much for being a true conservative and a man of integrity. However it is further conformation that the opinion of Fits is usually wrong and worthless.
