U.S. Rep. Tom Rice has fired one of his top political staffers in Florence County, S.C., multiple sources have confirmed to FITS.

Stephanie McLaughlin Rawlinson, a prominent Republican Party activist in left-leaning Florence County, was let go due to what sources are describing as an “internal conflict” with one of Rice’s higher-ranking staffers.

Details regarding the exact nature of the conflict were not immediately available – although we do know Rawlinson was fired by Rice personally after getting into a “heated exchange” with the subordinate.

Drama, drama, drama …

Rice was elected to South Carolina’s newly created seventh congressional district after defeating former “Republican” Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer in a GOP runoff election last summer and Democrat Gloria Bromell Tinubu in last fall’s general election.

News of Rawlingson’s firing comes a day before Rice welcomes former U.S. Speaker Newt Gingrich to South Carolina for a pair of events in his district – including one in Florence.

Since you provided no captions with the photo am I to assume that Ms. Rawlinson is the one in the middle wearing the brown suit

If so, then she should be fired. No self respecting woman would wear a brown suit with a white blouse.

So Florence County is “left-leaning”, and yet of all the counties in the state, Newt Gingrich chose it for one of two appearances. Either he’s getting a handsome honorarium or I need to go back and check the definition of “non seguitur.”

The problem was he hired her in the first place. It’s called “check the references.”

The Republicans are not left leaning and we are gaining ground in Florence County. With a little cohesiveness and if more Republicans decide to get actively engaged in building the party we will make the turn to “Republican County” in the not so far future.

The lady on the right is a doll! To bad her picture is associated with the unemployed drama queen!

I’ve met her in person, and to my eye is more attractive than the photo would indicate – but “doll” in that sense might be a bit hyperbolic. She is most certainly NOT a “doll” in manners and general demeanor. She’s a total control-freak, who orders people around who are not even employed by her boss. Infamous for that, in fact.

I’m not sure if it’s actually anyone’s business to speculate over someone else’s job status. Both Stephanie and Pam did wonderful things for Tom Rice’s campaign. Pam is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. And as for Wrenzie, you clearly haven’t spent even two seconds around her if you have something ill to say about her. She’s probably the most respectable woman I know. If any of you are involved in the Florence GOP or the Republican party at all, you should be ashamed of yourselves. This party doesn’t need any division from within. We’re attacked from outside our party enough.
