The Tim Tebow experiment in New York is over … to the extent it ever really began.

Days after drafting West Virginia’s Geno Smith in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft, the New York Jets waived Tebow … throwing the former Heisman Trophy winner’s professional prospects in jeopardy.

Tebow – who won the Heisman in 2007 as a sophomore at Florida – played on a pair of national championship teams in college. Drafted in the first round three years ago by the Denver Broncos, the 6-foot-3, 236-pound signal caller spent two years with the team – including a successful 2011 campaign during which he posted a 7-4 record as a starter and led the team to the divisional round of the playoffs.

After the Broncos acquired Peyton Manning prior to the 2012 season, Tebow was traded to the Jets – who used him sparingly last year despite the well-documented struggles of starting quarterback Mark Sanchez. In three seasons Tebow completed 173 of 361 passes for 2,422 yards and seventeen touchdowns. He also rushed 197 times for 989 yards and another twelve scores.

So … will Tebow get another shot in the NFL?

Most experts seem to think he won’t … even though the 25-year-old has played pretty well when given the chance. Also Tebow can play multiple positions, which would seem to enhance his value.

If he was a TE or slot guy, he may have a chance. But if he insists on playing QB, he’ll give Garcia good competition with the Alouettes.

Just to play in the NFL is a huge feat. He shouldn’t be ashamed of his career if whether it ends here or otherwise. 29 total touchdowns? I’m still proud of the one interception I had in high school.

high school. I still remember discovering my member had a second function, he never failed me, though I abused him, He still controls my mind at times. Salute

I’d love to see Belichick pick him up and turn his career around while at the same time tweaking the nose of the Jets.

Tebow has been crapped on repeatedly in the NFL, he deserves a chance someplace, even if it is in the CFL(which wouldn’t be all that bad for him, if he did well you know someone in the NFL would snag him again).

It must’ve been God’s will.

I have a feeling, because of his faith in God, Tebow will handle it a lot better than the secular, hateful people ever would.
He’ll be fine. He still has his soul. Sadly, you present yourself as if you don’t own yours…I pray I’m wrong about you. Remember, repentance is for all of us……

Tebow lovers get over it. The hype as died. He was used by the NFL in an effort to steal Pentecostals from NASCAR, and it failed miserably. Race fans will never like the NFL. Too much strategy, too many rules, and the players are unionized. They’ll stick with the go fast, turn left crowd. Tebow needs to head on back home and start a football ministry.

Take a bow, you hateful Bigots. You are winning in your evil crusade of hatred. But I have a feeling Tebow will win in the end. And I know God will prevail when all is said and done. He always does.

This guy picked up a 1-7 team and took it to the playoffs and beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. Peyton Manning Crashed and burned w/ the same opportunity.

Yet contempt for Christians is so Strong, w. an ugly pop culture that has stuffed race-hate down our throats, Tebow is discriminated off the field…You should be proud…the devil is laughing w/ you…
