Back when George H.W. Bush was president we were too young and naive to recognize that “Republicans” were full of shit, but by the time his intellectually incurious son inherited the Oval Office – the scales had fallen from our eyes.
Together, the Bushes have helped destroy the Republican brand … and the nation’s economy.
First we had Bush 41 and his “Read My Lips” nonsense (a preview of future tax betrayals). Then came Bush 43 and his orgy of “compassionate conservative” spending, widespread suppression of individual liberties and an interventionist foreign policy built on lies.
The result? A Republic in decline …
Of course America insists on paying homage to those who screw it over, and so the elder Bush had his presidential library dedicated this week – prompting an outpouring of uninformed adulation on social media.
Take a look …
Wait … George W. Bush is the “best president in decades?”
Wow … that’s a special kind of crazy there.
Sort of like the “special kind of crazy” a tearful Bush embodied at the dedication ceremony for his presidential library when he said “whatever challenges come before us, I will always believe our nation’s best days lie ahead.”
Yeah because we’ve never heard that line before … and $25 trillion in debt, a labor force that won’t stop shrinking, unsustainable entitlements and an exploding welfare population is obviously a recipe for continued success!
Listen, when the definitive obituary of the United States of America is written (and trust us, it’s coming sooner than you might think) the Bushes will be remembered as leaders who had golden opportunities to reverse this nation’s descent into command economic welfare statism … but instead chose to slam down the accelerator.
And while the excess interventionism of both administrations certainly pales next to the neo-fascist Keynesian overload of current U.S. President Barack Obama, the fact remains the Bushes were “Republicans” who should have been moving this country in the direction of sanity.
They didn’t … which is a big reason Obama was elected in the first place, and a big reason why “Republican” means something vastly different today than it used to.

You wouldn’t recognize a “traditional” Republican if one hit you in the mouth, much less your ass. Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, nor Reagan would qualify under today’s definition of “Republican.”
Nor would Goldwater or Dirksen, Baker nor Rhodes. We know that Lugar long ago wore out his welcome.
I suppose Jesse Helms or John Tower might fit in. Even “Strom.”
Roosevelt -> trust-busting -> “government intrusion and overregulation”
Nixon -> EPA and Planned Parenthood -> “government overregulation and killing babies”
Eisenhower -> interstate system -> “free market should’ve done that!”
Reagan -> raised taxes, grew government -> “libruls and their big gubmint!”
The same people who would call such achievements “socialist/communist liberal agenda items” are the same people who claim that the above Republican presidents were “great.” What a bunch of ignorant tools. And while these tools lambast the Republican party for what it has traditionally been, they scramble to protect the Republican brand by labeling the actual Republican politicians as RINOs and pretending that the ones who are clearly bought out by corporations and special interest groups, who do nothing but mouth rhetoric people want to hear and then take a knife to the back of all the shit they claim to support, as the REAL, honest-to-god Republicans.
Wow, it’s as if all of these religious right types, purist fiscal conservatives, and “libertarian” Republicans (see: Glenn Beck) are the actual RINOs trying to hijack a party that never fucking represented them. Nah, must be that librul meedyuh trying to trick us again! Better stick to Fox News and Breitbart. Made up stories are more entertaining anyways!

A Primary tactic of the left and moderates (FITS) right now is to ATTACK Conservatives. They want to destroy the Conservative Movement. …even though it’s abundantly CLEAR that Obama, Reid and Pelosi are doing more to Destroy the success of America, than any president and congress I can remember.
Bush was a good president. His folly was trying to please th left and moderates (like FITS.) FITS is just as Delusional as any liberal on here spouting Ignorance and lies regarding Obama..and bashing the Bush economy. Bush’s economy was GREAT…and even more glaring is that face compared to Obama’s mess.
The days were much better under Bush, and when Newt ran the Congress. That’s just the truth.
And the height of Liberal, and Liberal-Tarian stupidity is trying to deny that. And what’s worse, is people so dumb, they buy the lies…
That last sentence speaks for itself…

It does mean something vastly different: anti-science, anti-intellectual, anti-immigrant, anti-struggling people, anti-gay. The list goes on and on. It is so sad to see a great party highjacked by religious quacks and gunslingers and ignorant stupid voters who don’t know they are being fucked by the people they elect.. The Bushes were the last great Republicans. The GOP Is so radical, and FITS is part of that, that it is imploding as we speak, and will become a minority party in the near future. R I P. Good-bye, GOP.

I crawl over hot coals to get the back to the GREAT Shape Bush (W) had it in.
That man cared about Americans and America and he understood what it took to acheive PROSPERITY.
You are without a doubt one of the following
1. The biggest FUCKING ( I spell it out) idiot on this site
2. A paid anarchist shill for FITS
However, you do bring a certain strain of idiot humor .
In closing let me add,
YOU BETCHA!
YOU BETCHA!

I didn’t care for the younger Bush, but the elder Bush at least governed responsibly and wasn’t a neoconservative thug who engaged in foreign policy adventurism like his son. While he violated his tax pledge (which was stupid to state something like that), he also recognized the need to have balanced budgets. His responsible governing scaled back some of the excess deficits of the Reagan administration and it was under his watch that the final acts of the Cold War concluded with German reunification and the collapse of the USSR.
Was he the best? No. I would’ve voted for Perot in 1992 had I been of age. However, he was much better than his son and this current excuse for a president that we have now.

This is a small step toward bring a spineless warmonger to justice for sending our troops into harms way based on what he knew was bogus intelligence. His entire administration should be brought to court.

So because someone doesn’t agree with you, this makes them uninformed? Whatever happened to respectfully appreciating and honoring someone’s public service, regardless of their political affiliations. How distasteful.
