As part of our random accountability enforcement we put private investigators on South Carolina politicians from time to time … just to make sure they’re behaving themselves.
This week’s lucky recipient of our “extra attention?” S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson, a first-term Republican who appears poised to cruise to reelection in 2014 with broad, bipartisan support.
Wait, hold up … we put a PI on the state’s top prosecutor? The guy who could haul our asses in front of a grand jury whenever he wanted? Yup. That’s just how we roll, people. Anyway, Wilson – as we suspected – is a friggin’ Boy Scout. Which means we basically wasted a couple thousand dollars. In fact he rivals this website’s founding editor Will Folks (a.k.a. Sic Willie) as perhaps the most p-whipped man of power in the state.
In fact, in addition to doing absolutely nothing controversial, the only thing Wilson did that was even remotely interesting all week was have lunch with University of South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw (above). at Monterrey in downtown Columbia, S.C.’s Vista district.
Hmmmm …
So yeah … Wilson will need to schedule a lunch with Clemson University quarterback Tajh Boyd to make things right, but other than that he appears to be (annoyingly) scandal-free.

“That’s just how we roll”? Your kidding, right? That’s your cell phone camera and there is no private investigator.
RAS – I don’t leave the house, remember? -W
I will say that you need to haggle your PI down on his or her price, because that picture sucks.

Who picked up the tab? Did Wilson pay for Shaw’s meal?

I wonder how many readers are fooled by this transparent empty plug for Wilson. Did you instruct the PI to do more than follow him for a few hours during a day Wilson knew he would be followed? Yeah, I’m sure Wilson couldn’t hide ‘scandal’ like extramarital affairs. Not that ‘scandal’ has anything to do with the job performance, like Wilson’s campaign finance fuck ups freetimes reported. I’ll bet the PI doesn’t know any better than FITS how to collect job performance data, like Wilson’s status as a defendant in the James Brown lawsuit, the SC ruling against him in that matter for exceeding his authority, his prioritizing of his budget on dogfighting while whining he doesn’t have enough to fight public corruption,, heck, FITS doesn’t even know what an accountability report is, I bet: Wilson’s misrepresentations to the public, and his use of the office for Republican party issues instead of citizen priorities. Oh, I forgot AG’s ‘arrangement’ with FITS. Wonder if Wilson’s on a pay by the plug plan.
He could ‘haul our asses’ in front of a state grand jury? Oh yeah, that’s because aren’t current republican politicians. Like Harrell. I forgot we don’t get the special treatment..
Did you not read the case? They blasted McMaster (not Wilson) for that decision of overstepping (but they also recognized the move saved the estate from ridiculous attorney fees). As to the Grand Old Party, ge ruled against them on a closed primary and indicted their Lt Gov. If you want to attack the man, at least find something legitimate. And if I recall, Sic Willie did not endorse him in the primary and called him a daddy’s boy. Give the kid credit, he’s doing a decent job, so long as he does not let it go to his head.
This post reeks of lawyer unwarranted inferences, attempt to change the subject, intentional irrelevant implications and bullshit garbage SC Legal profession typically likes to spread to hide truth. Sell it to some low information uncritical thinker who confuses emotional opinion with reasoned conclusions of fact. Your reference to non-party McMaster in a Court order relevant to DEFENDANT Wilson is obvious diversion. Unless you mean, practically, the order can only apply to McMaster, a non-party, because you personally know Wilson’s too stupid to be responsible for the agreement he’s supposed to be managing. And he’s too ignorant of the law to understand the agreement exceeds AG (nice try, implying that the court order is directed to personal authority of McMaster) legal authority. I agree with you on Wilson’s ignorance of the law. There isn’t any relevancy to the AG’s abuse ‘saving the estate’ money. So it appears you are marketing the AG’s abuse has a ‘benefit’ with this stupid implication.
As to the rest of Wilson’s pathetic performance, all ya got to justify ‘decent job’ is your own assertion??
I suppose it’s possible you aren’t a regular reader so you don’t know about FITS ongoing attempts.https://www.fitsnews.com/2013/04/04/professor-smartypants-is-in-trouble. Or maybe you’re not a critical reader, or thinker.
When you have real data and can do more than throw unreasoned assertions to refute my analysis Wilson’s nothing more than a party tool http://laurenscountycitizenswatch.com/reviews/sc_ag, I would relish a meaningful dialogue. Otherwise, I’m sure some hypnotized person who follows Republican party rhetoric instead of facts will happily ignore the stench of the turd you wrapped in pretty pink paper.

Try harder next time. Attempting to imply non-party McMaster’s misuse of the office to initiate the agreement, has anything to do with DEFENDANT WILSON’s misuse of the office to administrate and deny disclosure of the agreement, is simplistically transparent. Wait, do you mean the court order doesn’t really apply to DEFENDANT Wilson’s conduct as AG because he’s too busy with Repub party and personal matters? And he’s too ignorant of the law to understand the agreement exceeds AG authority? Okay if you say so.
Aw, you tried another favorite expert liar..er…lawyer trick misrepresenting the truth by omission. How cute. You’ll get better. You implied a benefit from the AG abuse with an irrelevant ‘saving the estate’ money phrase. Next time, don’t pick a subject that can defeat you. In this case, money – the GIANT benefit Wilson is funneling into state coffers, and his lawyer friends, with this agreement.
As to the rest of Wilson’s pathetic performance, all ya got to justify ‘decent job’ is your own assertion??
To FITS – guess that omission tactic doesn’t really work for you. https://www.fitsnews.com/2013/04/04/professor-smartypants-is-in-trouble. See my post.
When you have real data and can do something smart with it, I would relish any refuting of my analysis that Wilson’s nothing more than a party tool http://laurenscountycitizenswatch.com/reviews/sc_ag. Oh, I guess you don’t understand, personal assertions of opinion are not credible refutations. The absence of any credible rebuttal self evidences there is none.
Till then, some person hypnotized by Republican party rhetoric will happily ignore the stench from the turd you’re trying to hide with pretty pink ribbons.
You sure that’s Connor Shaw? Looks like a middle-aged bald light-skinned black man.

All Wilson does is hang with rich donors, hang around sports venues, and sling red meat at the masses. If it were determined that he worked 2 hours a day (at his job) I would be surprised.

Alan Wilson may be a frigging “Boy Scout”, but that doesn’t mean that he knows South Carolina law.
In fact, in his campaign for Attorney General, he broke South Carolina Code of Laws,
SECTION 16-17-446 Regulation of automatically dialed announcing device (ADAD).
http://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t16c017.php#16-17-446
Robocalls are prohibited after 7 PM. I reported Alan Wilson to SC Department of Consumer Affairs for violating the law. I never heard anything from Consumer Affairs. But I also reported Mitt Romney for violating the same law; I got a letter friom his campaign attorney saying that they wouldn’t call us again.
I would do the same to Barak Obama if I got a robocall after 7 PM. I’ll report any politicial that violates robocalls after 7 PM.
Fact is, that Alan Wilson broke the law!

Not so fast. If Wilson doesn’t conduct a thorough investigation of Bobby Harrell and then publicize it, he’ll be gutted like a deer. Particularly if his investigation is a whitewash, in which the deer, er… Wilson… will simply be fed to the hound dogs.

God, I hope that isn’t true! Wilson is another “yes” man for the crooks who have ruined this state, such as Bobby Harrell and members of the Lexington Crime Ring, who happen to be best buds with his dear old dad. Not only that, Wilson is anti-self-defense, as evidenced by his aggressive moves to keep a man in prison who should never have been sent there to begin with. Jason Dickey was forced to defend himself against two mean, belligerent, drunks, at least one of which, was armed with a glass bottle. He was wrongly convicted of manslaughter and sent to prison. The SC Supreme Court found his conviction in error and Alan Wilson pulled out all the stops to keep the man in prison, weeks or more, after the SCSC said he should be freed. Alan Wilson does not deserve another term. We have too many members of the Wilson family feeding at the public trough, already.

If this is the quality of work your PI does then no one has anything to worry about. Your “PI” isn’t worth the BS you put in this article.
