So that guy running against S.C. Republican Party chairman Chad Connelly has released a web video.
And is that not the greatest lede to a political story ever written? We certainly think so …
Samuel Harms, the former Greenville County GOP chairman, accuses Connelly of culpability as it relates to last year’s “Ballot-maggedon” scandal – in which hundreds of candidates were removed from the ballot for failing to properly file their statements of economic interest.
Take a listen …
(Click to play)
Assuming you can get past the high school AV quality production and borderline incoherent sentence structure contained in this clip, does Harms have a point?
We don’t know and we don’t really care …
Remember, this is what we want “Republicans” to do.
UPDATE: For those of you who do care, it appears as though Harms has pulled the video from his YouTube page. Hmmmmm …

Does he have a point? No. Why?
More Democrats were booted from the ballot than Republicans. Oops.
More Dems were booted because their leaders actually followed what the the Court ordered…Repubs covered up for theirs and left them on the ballot. I heard of several and even saw a couple articles about it last year but no action was ever taken. Connelly and several local GOP Chairs are lucky they’re not in jail for directly ignoring an order by the SC Supreme Court.
So wait, let me get this straight. On one hand, you attack Connelly for taking candidates off the ballot (ie. following the Court order).
On the other hand, you attack Connelly because he attempted to beat the Courts’ idiot decision and actually won (with Paul Thurmond, Kirkman Finlay, Craig Gagnon, and many others).
Which is it? You people can’t seem to get your illogical attacks straight.
Need help with reading comprehension? I didn’t attack Connelly for taking people off the ballot. He had an obligation to do that per the court. The problem I have is that he allowed many to remain on the ballot that should have been removed, in contempt of court. I believe he should have been charged for contempt along with several local chairs.

Maybe Harms thought he was there to do a Krispy Kreme commercial. He doesn’t seem that into it.

Connelly doesn’t make the laws. The GA had ample opportunity to fix the problem. They didn’t. This guy is a moron.

Fits wrote “it really doesn’t matter who holds the position of
“Republican” chairman in South Carolina, because in order to keep the
job you have to do what Connelly has done – which is to run around the
state pretending that a bunch of corrupt, fiscally liberal
anti-reformers are really good “conservatives.”
Beautiful.
Like a Haiku or something.

Connely is going to whip Harms so bad he’s going to think that House race he lost was a squeaker.
That’s sad.

Someone get Brian Franks a straight jacket. The State GOP Executive Committee, with all 46 counties, overwhelmingly approved the loan to cover the county parties’ legal expenses. Not Chad Connelly. These folks are nuts – surprised Harms is letting them use him as their pawn.

Didn’t this guy lose chairman of Grenville GOP? This is the best they could find to run against Chad?
