Maybe Sanford’s got anger issues with Jenny for rebuffing his whine-y, half-hearted attempts to reconcile after she had made the decision to divorce the deceitful son of a gun. As much as he may have lusted after MBC, I really don’t think he wanted to marry her and put up with all the accompanying disruptions in his life. But Jenny gave him his freedom and he actually has to put some effort in this relationship and shell out some bucks. So he continues to trespass on Jenny’s space, be careless with his comments (“be his campaign manager and this time he’ll pay her…”) and be careless in his actions with their sons as a way to get to her. Sealed divorce docs are quite difficult to get your hands on if you aren’t the lawyers or parties involved. An attorney who revealed this information would be disbarred and would end their career. I think she wants her kids to have an all-access pass to her husband but she personally wants nothing to do with him. Knowing how he likes to take advantage of a situation, she doesn’t want him in her space because of his multi-level betrayals, and hasn’t she been proven right again and again??? Who knows, maybe she found out that Sanford had Chapur to the old beach house for one of their trysts before the divorce and she felt violated OR he has already been caught rummaging through her things in her house post divorce. She doesn’t make judgements lightly with all that is at stake.

I would have been equally upset if my ex-husband had done the same. We mothers are very protective of our children and after a highly insensitive act like that I think Jenny’s reaction is very appropriate. Mark Sanford is an egotistical, selfish man when it comes to his own success. Anything to win. He may have good intentions in Congress, as he did his last time there, but he was unable to change one thing while there.
