The bombs that killed three people and injured dozens more in downtown Boston, Massachusetts this week were “rudimentary” pressure cooker devices filled with ball bearings and severed nails, according to a new report from the Associated Press.

These six-liter “pressure cookers” were then placed on the ground inside black duffel bags packed with shrapnel. “Pressure cooker” bombs have been linked to previous terror plots, including an attempted bombing at Fort Hood by a Muslim soldier. In fact al-Qaeda has posted “recipes” for these bombs online.

(For our initial report on the Boston bombings, click here. For some perspective, click here).

The two bombs used in the attack detonated approximately 100 yards apart from each other – one twelve seconds after the other – near the finish line of the 2013 Boston Marathon, the world’s most prestigious road race.

The impact of the blast sent shrapnel – and human body parts – flying through the air.

So far no terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the federal government’s only reported lead in the case was a Saudi national who received medical attention in the wake of the bombing. However the “Saudi national” story – originally published by the New York Post – has been denied by law enforcement.

Meanwhile there are, predictably, voices from the professional left looking to pin the blame for the blast on “right wing extremists.”

“If it was more conventional explosives, which are much harder to get a hold of now, that might be some other kind of right-wing extremists,” CNN analyst Peter Bergen said in the immediate aftermath of the attack.

Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have conducted a search of an apartment in downtown Boston and were observed removing brown paper bags, trash bags and a duffel bag.

“We will go to the ends of the earth to identify the subject or subjects who are responsible for this despicable crime and we will do everything we can to bring them to justice,” an FBI spokesman said.

Meanwhile evidence is emerging which suggests that government officials had prior knowledge of the attack – despite their protestations to the contrary.

Prior to the bombings, multiple announcements were made alerting spectators to a security “drill” taking place at the event.

“They kept making announcements to the participants do not worry, it’s just a training exercise,” a cross country coach from Mobile, Alabama told Boston’ Local 15. “It seemed like there was some sort of threat, but they kept telling us it was just a drill.”

Also, bomb sniffing dogs were reported at the start and finish lines of the race prior to the detonations.

IF and WHEN DHS/TSA begins setting up metal detectors, naked scanners, and groping stations, on our streets, in malls, and at sporting events; you will then KNOW that this was another false flag.

They needed another good excuse to abridge our freedom for “our safety”.

Have some dry goods and water stored? Sure you have enough ammo in your bunker?

Will there be a run on ball bearings and nails at Home Depot before Biden goes before Congress to outlaw them?

Of the 380 individuals indicted for acts of political violence or for conspiring to carry out such attacks in the U.S. since 9/11, 77 were able to obtain explosives or the components necessary to build a bomb, according to a count by the New America Foundation.

Of those, 48 were right-wing extremists, 23 were militants inspired by al Qaeda’s ideology, five have been described as anarchists and one was an environmentalist terrorist.

“Predictably?” Gee, wonder why.

Anyone suspect the hero? His backstory is tragic, yet bizarre. And the coincidence that he happened to be so close, yet outside of harm’s way. And he ran towards where the bomb detonated – and some stories say when he arrived on the scene, he first took two pictures before helping. Seems strange.

Without fear of impending destruction, doom or calamity, the vast swath of people I believe just want to be left alone to live their lives as they see fit. It is fear that causes people to abandon these beliefs. Governments need their populations to be scared to maintain power and control. With an aura of fear, people, even good people, will allow their government to do monstrous things.

We should ask ourselves who has the most to gain from this attack. Is it Al Qaeda or the Muslim Brotherhood? Their goal is to get the United States out of the Middle East, and surely this type of attack will only prolong our presence.
Could it be “right-wing” domestic terrorists? Possibly, but again, Timothy McVeigh and Eric Rudolph did more harm than good for the Patriot and anti-abortion movements.
The people with the most to gain are those who can exploit that fear. This attack is the justification to possibly start another war, where support may not have existed prior. This attack is the justification to increase searches and surveillance outside 4th Amendment authorization. This type of attack lends credence to those who want to our country into a warrior nation and police state. If our government will lie us into a war that results in the deaths of thousands of soldiers and hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, if our government claims the authority kill American citizens without trial or due process, and if our government is hell bent on monitoring every move of its citzens, is it that far fetched to think this could be a false flag operation?

Seems a bit too small time for a false flag, but I don’t know.

Wait.According to your blind support of 2nd Amendment rights, shouldn’t bombs be legal?

And how can we deny the rights of suicide bombers, especially when their also providing the ultimate punishment for themselves?

lol….you can make bombs with a host of every day chemicals in your kitchen using recipes off the internets. We should ban pressure cookers and cooking ingredients.

Let’s also force everyone to stay at home and not go outside so we are all safe, so a law against going outside is in order-for the safety of everyone. I’m not “anti-outside” though, I’m pro life.

To think of it, I’ve got an even better idea, let’s ban killing. That will work too.

What? It’s banned? Well, we need better laws for killing then.
