Remember Anthony Weiner?
He’s the former U.S. Congressman from New York who accidentally tweeted an image of his erect penis … and then tried to claim his Twitter account had been hacked.
Weiner’s account hadn’t been hacked, though. He just had a case of slippery fingers. In fact weeks later he resigned from Congress over the scandal, acknowledging that he had carried on sexually-themed flirtations with several women – including a porn star – and lied about it.
Not only that, Weiner was coaching the women to lie to the media too …
Anyway, less than two years later Weiner is back … as a potential candidate for mayor of New York City.
Yeah … apparently if Mark Sanford can do it, so can he.
Many New York Democrats like Weiner’s chances, too, arguing that his personal indiscretions pale in comparison to the public corruption which continues to infest the Empire State.
Others aren’t sold on Weiner’s return …
“Seriously, Weiner is thinking of running for mayor of New York?” one FITS reader noted. “He and Sanford should wait till 2016 and run with the slogan ‘We’re a Couple of Dicks!'”

We’ve never had a problem with Weiner’s personal failings. It’s the fact he lied about them (habitually) that we don’t like … well, that and his uber-leftist political ideology. Accordingly, we could never support his political comeback.
Weiner, 48, represented New York’s ninth congressional district for over a decade. In 2010 he married former Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin in a ceremony presided over by president Bill Clinton. Abedin was pregnant with the couple’s first child at the time of his spectacular fall from grace.

I agree. Sanford’s words betrayed him as well. He stated that Chapur’s presence was an “awfully, awfully” nice surprise. Sounds like his subconscious recognized he stepped in it on some level.

I liked watching him rant and rave in his speeches when he was in Congress, it was highly entertaining. If they want him, let them have him.
At least his infidelity didn’t involve taxpayer-funded trips. (Well, okay, we don’t know for sure…)
On another note, I wonder how many people voted “No” here but “Yes” for Sanford. lol…

North Korean Missile Test Delayed by Windows 8
PYONGYANG (The Borowitz Report) — North Korea’s official news agency announced today that the military’s planned missile test had been put on hold because of “problems with Windows 8.”
Intelligence analysts said that the announcement gave rare insight into the inner workings of North Korea’s missile program, which until last year had been running on Windows 95.
The announcement from the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) did not indicate a new scheduled time for a missile test, saying only that it was “working with Windows 8 support to resolve the issue.”
In the words of one intelligence analyst, “That means the test been delayed indefinitely.”
A source close to the North Korean regime reported that Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un is furious about the Windows 8 problems and is considering a number of options, including declaring war on Microsoft.
