There’s a brief item in The (Columbia, S.C.) State newspaper this week about Kana Rahman – a local attorney who was publicly disciplined by the S.C. Supreme Court for engaging in sexual relations with one of her clients.
Ho-hum, right? Lawyers banging clients in South Carolina is nothing new …
But why did the Supreme Court choose to make this particular humiliation public as opposed to issuing the more popular “confidential reprimand?”
Good question …
What’s even more curious about this story, though, are the names (and circumstances) which weren’t printed. In fact “news columnist” John Monk – who filed the report for The State – has been sitting on a much bigger story involving Rahman (or more specifically her estranged husband, Richland County solicitor Daniel E. Johnson). So has WIS TV 10 (NBC – Columbia, S.C.) reporter Jody Barr – who recently filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the S.C. State Law Enforcement Division for records related to the fallout from Rahman and Johnson’s toxic relationship.
What are Monk and Barr not revealing? And more importantly … why are they sitting on the story?
Again … we’re not sure.
What we do know is that Rahman recently went through an extended period of estrangement from Johnson – who stalked her for months during this time period by planting GPS devices on her vehicle.
“He was always showing up where she was … whether she was on a date or meeting with clients,” one of our sources explains.
In one of these instances, Rahman – a family law attorney – was meeting with a client who was in the process of getting a divorce from his wife. Johnson showed up at the meeting and became enraged with the client, allegedly pulling a gun on the man and threatening to kill him.
Yeah … pretty ironic behavior for a guy who previously served on the City of Columbia’s violent crime task force.
Here’s the only problem … Rahman’s client (unbeknownst to Johnson) wasn’t just some schmo on the street, he was (is) an agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). And those are generally guys you don’t want to pull a weapon on … or threaten to kill.
Ironically, Rahman eventually wound up having an affair with the FBI agent (hence her public reprimand). And the agent eventually ended the relationship with Rahman and wound up returning o his wife.
Oh … and Rahman has now reportedly reconciled with Johnson, who continues to prosecute cases in Richland County.
All’s well that ends well, huh?
Apparently so …
If you’re willing to overlook all the drawn weapons and death threats …

Former FBI agent files petition to enter guilty plea for child pornography charges
A local former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent arrested on child pornography charges filed a petition to enter a guilty plea.
Donald Sachtleben was arrested in May 2012, following an investigation into the distribution of child pornography. Authorities said they were able to trace online activity back to Sachtleben’s Carmel home.
According to court documents, Sachtleben hid behind the email ‘pedodave69@yahoo.com’ and openly traded child porn. In one email he attached nine images of child pornography and child erotica and wrote:
“Saw your profile… Hope you like these and can send me some of (y)ours. I have even better ones if you like.”
Police obtained a search warrant on May 3. During an initial forensic examination of Sachtleben’s laptop computer, approximately 30 images and video files containing child pornography were reportedly discovered.

Ex-FBI man gets 7 years for child sex
Former FBI analyst sentenced in child sex case
A 17-year veteran of the FBI will serve seven years in prison for having sexual relations with a young girl in Spotsylvania County, a judge ruled yesterday.
Anthony John Lesko, 44, entered an Alford plea yesterday in Spotsylvania Circuit Court to nine counts of felony indecent liberties upon a child.
Lesko, who later moved to Jacksonville, Fla., worked as an intelligence analyst at the FBI for 17 years, according to his attorney, James A. Carter II.
An Alford plea means Lesko doesn’t admit guilt but believes there is enough evidence for a conviction. Under the terms of the plea, he was sentenced to seven years in prison with another 15 years suspended.
Lesko engaged in a sex act with a girl, 9 and 10 at the time, at least nine times in 2003-2004, according to evidence put forth by Spotsylvania Commonwealth’s Attorney William Neely.
The girl told a member of the Spotsylvania Department of Social Services about the activity in February 2004, according to the evidence. Lesko at first denied the allegations, but later spoke with a U.S. Navy counselor about them.
Lesko told the counselor that he was the victim of the sexual assault; he said the girl initiated the contact, according to the plea. Lesko entered the plea partly to spare the girl the pain of a trial, his attorney said.

Proportionally speaking, the Holy Catholic church has fewer morality / integrity problems than any institution in the world that is made up of human beings. However, due to the nature of their mission and the size of their bankroll they receive much more media scrutiny.
For example, South Carolina school districts combined have had more teacher/administrator/staff vs. student sexual complaints in the last 10 years than the entire Catholic Church has had in 25 years. Multiply that by the total number of school systems in the United States alone and…….shall I continue?
OK
When you set yourself above mere mortals and say your leader is infallible, what do you expect when you screw up?
Your implication that sexual abuse/molestation didn’t occur unless it was reported, is self evidently proven to be false The only thing that might be true in your statement might be the Church has had less reports. It has been verified the church protects offenders from report. And that’s when an offender is known. The idea that a very young child in such an environment would actually report such offense when surrounded by protectors of molestation, is nonsensical. I have long line of off the boat, Irish Catholic, on one side of the family. Priests, rich relatives who live like paupers to give EVERYTHING to church, etc. Highly likely some of them saw, or were victims, or perpetrators, of Church protected molestation.
Two FBI workers are accused of using surveillance equipment to spy on teenage girls as they undressed and tried on prom gowns at a charity event at a West Virginia mall.
The FBI employees have been charged with conspiracy and committing criminal invasion of privacy. They were working in an FBI satellite control room at the mall when they positioned a camera on temporary changing rooms and zoomed in for at least 90 minutes on girls dressing for the Cinderella Project fashion show, Marion County Prosecutor Pat Wilson said Monday.
Your argument makes my point, thanks. Young children would not report in any institution or situation, not only the church. Also, assuming what you don’t know, just place that same logic to all environments equally. How can one be rich and live like a pauper if you give all to the church??? You talk in circles. So your belief is that the entire church is really about screwing children. If that were so, then why is the membership so large and so loyal? Are you suggesting that the victims are widespread and that they actually liked being abused????? Again, look at the numbers

FBI Agent Pleads Guilty to Child Abuse
Tuesday February 17, 2004 11:46 PM
The former chief internal watchdog at the FBI has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl and has admitted he had a history of molesting other children before he joined the bureau for what became a two-decade career.
John H. Conditt Jr., 53, who retired in 2001, was sentenced last week to 12 years in prison in Tarrant County court in Fort Worth, Texas, after he admitted he molested the daughter of two FBI agents after he retired. He acknowledged molesting at least two other girls before he began his law enforcement career, his lawyer said.

The man told police Lawson hit him in the back of his head and on the shoulder. Lawson told police she did hit her father because he was getting on her nerves.
The father, while police were investigating the matter, told his daughter, “You need help. That’s why they kicked you out of the FBI.”
The statement, reportedly sent Lawson into a frenzy, causing her to curse the man and punch him in the head in front of officers.
Lawson still threatened to do her father bodily harm as she was being led away by police.

Dog Killing FBI Agent Gets a “Slap on the Wrist”
http://fortheloveofthedogblog.com/news-updates/dog-killing-fbi-agent-gets-a-slap-on-the-wrist-video
July 12th, 2009
There are times when I’m not sure why I ever actually expect more from our
justice system. Last February, a Waco, TX FBI agent, a sniper and
member of the FBI SWAT team, Lovett Leslie Ledger, Jr. shot and killed a
neighbor’s little 3-lb chihuahua named Sassy, with a pellet rifle and
although indicted for felony animal cruelty the only ones who paid for
this crime were the dog with its life and the family who lost their tiny
little furry family member.
Cyndi Mitchell, who lives across the street from FBI
agent, Lovett Leslie Ledger, told authorities that she witnessed Ledger
shoot the dog in front of her house with a pellet rifle on Feb. 29.
Mitchell has said that her dogs were barking and she went to the door and saw Sassy walking on Estes Road in front of her house.
The dog lurched to one side upon being shot, then rolled into a yard where she died, she has said.
“I’ve never heard a noise like that from an animal,” Mitchell said, describing it as “a screaming sound.”
As neighbors gathered around the fallen dog, Ledger took the pellet
gun, turned and walked inside his house with one of his children.
Initially when confronted by authorities about the crime, Ledger lied but changed his story when witnesses came forward.
He was later indicted by a grand jury for cruelty to animals, a state jail felony punishable by up to two years in a state jail and a $10,000 fine.
Pleading no contest, Judge Matt Johnson in 54th District Court
sentenced Ledger to two years deferred probation and ordered to perform
300 hours of community service. Not only that, if he completes the
term of probation, the conviction will be expunged from his record.
FBI spokesman Erik Vasys said Wednesday the agency will determine
whether Ledger faces any sanctions, which could range from suspension to
dismissal, after an internal inquiry is completed. Initially it was
reported that if convicted of the felony, that would mostly likely be
the end of his career, with Ledger getting deferred adjudication
probation, the FBI will probably just let him get away with it too.
After all, if the justice system doesn’t care, why should they. It was
“just a dog” after all!
Yet another injustice from our justice system! Sure, shoot and kill a 3-lb dog for no reason…. who care…. just a dog!
Tell A. McAlister that we found the remote. See Nancy Grace mugshot of the day – must be nice to make that claim down at that redneck country club in Laurens.

Buffalo FBI Agent Busted
Dec 10, 2012
BUFFALO, NY – A Special Agent working in the Buffalo office of the FBI is due in Eden Town Court later this month, after being arrested by New York State Police last Friday night, charged with exposing himself to a fellow motorist on the New York State Thruway.
State Police Lt. David Denz confirmed for WGRZ-TV that John A. Yervelli Jr., 48, of Lakeview, was charged with Public Lewdness, a class B misdemeanor, punishable by up to 90 days in jail.
According to Denz, a truck driver from central New York was traveling in the right lane while east bound on the Thruway near mile marker 442, between Exits 57 and 57A, when he noticed a grey minivan pull alongside him in the passing lane.
The trucker told police that when he looked down, he noticed the driver of the other vehicle (who had turned his dome light on) was not wearing pants.
“At that point the complainant stated that the driver of the minivan was exposing himself and making lewd gestures,” Denz told 2 On Your Side.

Dating drug dealers, harassing ex-boyfriends with naked pictures, and pointing guns at pet dogs: these were just a few of the offences committed recently by serving FBI agents, according to internal documents.
The US provided officers from the Egyptian secret police with training at the FBI, despite allegations that they routinely tortured detainees and suppressed political opposition.
Disciplinary files from the Bureau’s Office of Professional Responsibility record an extraordinary range of transgressions that reveal the chaotic personal lives of some of America’s top law enforcers.
One male agent was sacked after police were called to his mistress’s house following reports of domestic incident. When officers arrived they found the agent “drunk and uncooperative” and eventually had to physically subdue him and wrestle away his loaded gun.
A woman e-mailed a “nude photograph of herself to her ex-boyfriend’s wife” and then continued to harass the couple despite two warnings from senior officials. The Bureau concluded she was suffering from depression related to the break-up and allowed her to return to work after 10 days.

Toal and her disciplinary thug unit publically have tried to discredit Kana Rahman to protect one of Toal’s “boys,” Dan Johnson. Dan is big buds with Steve Benjamin and Randy Scott. Jody Barr and John Monk have been sitting on the story of the wild parties at Scott’s apartment – with Benjamin and Johnson as participating guests. Rahman has the goods on all of them. Toal had to knock her down so that when the rest of the story comes out, they can all say Rahman’s a nut job. All Toal actions are the result of political playmaking. It’s her favorite hobby.
Wow

In 1999 the Martin Luther King family sued one of the assassins of Martin Luther King in civil court. They did this because the department of justice would not reopen the investigation after the Martin Luther King family uncovered evidence that the FBI, CIA, and Memphis police had assassinated Dr King. The King family also wanted to enter their evidence into a public record so it could be accessed. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the King family and juror members held a press conference saying it was a clear cut case of the FBI assassinating Dr King. There was a media blackout of the trial. Details of the trial can be viewed here or by reading the book called ACT OF STATE THE EXECUTION OF Martin Luther King
written by the trial attorney William Pepper.

So I’m really confused on this one… How does one, a solicitor nonetheless, pull a gun on a FBI agent and not be charged? Or at least investigated? I know shit is ass backwards around here but this backward??? Now I understand that the FBI agent likely didn’t report the incident since he was banging Johnson’s wife but if something like this is reported/known about a solicitor, shouldn’t someone be looking into it? I just don’t get it…

Understanding the FBI Octopus and the FBI overall crime family
model is absolutely critical.
Part of the FBI Crime family includes county , state and local law
enforcement agencies. It is a two way street where the FBI recruits new
FBI agents from local law enforcement, and FBI agents go on to run
local, county and state law enforcement agencies when they retire from
the FBI.
Perhaps the best way to illustrate the problems associated with
this model is to discuss the President Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King assassination.
The Dallas Police worked closely with the FBI in destroying evidence
in the President Kennedy assassination including allowing Jack Ruby to kill Lee Harvey Oswald.
In the Martin Luther King assassination the Memphis Police Chief
at the times was a former FBI agent. see http://crdl.usg.edu/collections/holloman/?Welcome

(b) The inciting of violence by informants issue
The committee investigated the possibility that the violence that
interrupted the sanitation workers march in Memphis on March 28,
1968, leading to Dr. King’s return to the city, was provoked by FBI
agents or FBI or law enforcement informants working within a
militant organization known as the invaders.
The Invaders came into being in late 1967 when a number of Black
youths, politically conditioned by the Vietnam war, the civil rights
movement and economic conditions in Memphis, created what they
envisioned would be a coalition of groups to challenge the established
leadership of Memphis. The coalition came to be known as the Black
Organizing Project; its most widely known group was the Invaders.
The committee found evidence that some members of the Invaders,
resorting to inflammatory rhetoric and acts of violence, encouraged
the disturbances that marred the sanitation workers march. In its
investigation of the Invaders, the committee took testimony from
several former members (the organization had since been disbanded),
some of whom had provided written releases authorizing the FBI to
turn over their files, investigative or informant. In addition, the
committee reviewed reports of Invader activities in the files of the
FBI and the Memphis Police Department, and it took testimony from
FBI agents who controlled informants in Memphis and monitored
the activities of groups and individuals connected with the sanitation
strike. Finally, the committee took testimony from Marrell McCullough,
an undercover Memphis police officer who had infiltrated the
Invaders in 1968.

The transfer of two Black firemen
The postassasssination performance of the Memphis Police
In its investigation of possible official complicity in the assassination,
the committee considered allegations suggesting that the Memphis
Police Department facilitated Dr. King’s murder.11 For example,
there had been wide dissemination of a theory that a Black detective
was removed from his post at a fire station adjacent to the Lorraine
Motel so that he would not interfere with the assassination. (47)
To resolve questions concerning the possible complicity of the MPD,
the committee conducted extensive interviews with Memphis police
officials, officials of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and
citizen witnesses; is also took sworn testimony in depositions and hearings.
Further, the committee reviewed the pertinent files of the MPD,
the FBI, and the Department of Justice.
With regard to possible MPD complicity in the assassination, four
main issues were explored:
Why was an MPD security detail assigned to Dr. King withdrawn
on April 3, 1968?

Ok – let’s think this through. Why would he pull a gun on him and threatened to kill him if she wasn’t already having an affair?
He’s clearly a smart guy – why would he pull a gun on anyone? That’s just ridiculous.
You do realize the people you are slandering are attorneys, don’t you? I guess they are jus too busy actually working to sue you.
I just stumbled onto your site and I must say – I’m disappointed. I thought you may actually have some info. Guess you just make it all up.

Dan needs to stop hiding behind his official position and stop acting gangster. He is full of crap as a leader in the community and based on his actions he placed his spouse in a embarrassing situation.

The last time I saw Dan Johnson in Columbia was in 2014 in a bar in the Vista with his girlfriend who works in the 5th circuit solicitors office. I never knew he was married. He apparently frequents vista bars frequently, particularly World of Beers where his name is on the board for drinking the most beers brands. I worked with Dan Johnson in the 1990’s when he was a new solicitor for Barney Geise. He was worthless and exceptionally lazy. None of the cops ever wanted to work with him because he was so lazy.
