The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea – a.k.a. North Korea – continued to escalate its rhetoric in the wake of joint American-South Korean war games, which were held in response to prior threats from the socialist nation.

North Korea’s state media announced this week that 29-year-old dictator Kim Jong-Un had ordered his missile units “on standby” – ready to attack targets in South Korea and the continental United States. And while there is skepticism as to whether North Korea’s nuclear program is capable of hitting the mainland United States with a nuclear payload, South Korea is obviously a different story. And so is Japan – another nation which could be targeted by North Korean aggression.

North Korea recently concluded another nuclear test (its third successful test in the last seven years) and its program is steadily making strides.

Also Kim clearly has a burning desire to strike America.

As for South Korea, it’s not just a nuclear conflict its leaders should be preparing for – North Korea has plenty of conventional firepower, too.

“The North can fire 500,000 rounds of artillery on Seoul in the first hour of a conflict,” two regional experts wrote for Foreign Policy earlier this week.

That may happen, as rhetoric from the Korean Central News Agency – the official mouthpiece of Kim’s government – has ratcheted up considerably in recent days.

According to a statement from the agency, “the opportunity for peacefully settling the (North Korean)-US relations is no longer available as the US opted for staking its fate.”

“Consequently, there remains only the settlement of accounts by a physical means,” the statement continued.

Again … “them’s fightin’ words.”

The only question is whether North Korea will feel sufficiently froggy to “jump.”

UPDATE: According to The Wall Street Journal, an American defense official says the United States “will continue to demonstrate unique advanced capabilities” and continue its military exercises despite the threats emanating from Pyongyang.

How are those sanctions working? Imposing sanctions is like attacking – and all because the Obama administration and the United Nations tells NK it can NOT have nuclear weapons …. LMAO!! … Now, because of all of those sanctions, hundreds of thousands of people in South Korea, Japan, Guam, etc are staring death in the face. And for what? Not that I side with North Korea, but our US Government and the people who run it are a bunch of stupid ass corrupt and lawless BULLIES.
If Americans die, its because of the Obama administration. And that’s a fact – JACK!

Fits, please do not help the lame stream media with their war/fear mongering BS. We have about as much reason to fear N Korea as we did Saddam and Iraq. N Korea must have recently discovered oil for us to take.

Ever think Kim Jong-un is putting up a front to keep those who might try to topple his fat ass from jumping him? Hard to explain offing the Dear Leader’s son when he is “valiantly fighting those American pigs.”

I think more on point is the North Korean leadership perceives weakness in the US leadership. Take a good look. They became a nuclear nation since Sec Defense Panetta, Sec State Clinton, and Pres Obama took over. Did we really do any better with Panetta as CIA Director? They really know their stuff, not. Sec Defense Hagel and Sec State Kerry are being shown up as the imbeciles they are. Under Obama, Clinton, Panetta, Hagel, and Kerry, we now have a nuclear North Korea threatening US interests. If South Korea is attacked because of Hagel’s stupidity and Kerry’s incompetence, then what…ban assault weapons on the Korean Peninsula or maybe a Korean Healthcare Act after a new immigration reform act? How many homosexuals in the North Korean army want marriage benefits for their same sex partners? I bet we find put through CIA Director Bennett on Meet the Press tomorrow. Yea right. What a joke the WH is.

I love people like Thomas and “Take a hard look” blaming Obama and the current administration for N Korea. Typical Republican BS. No answers, no responsibility. Blame someone else. I guess that’s why Republicans like Thomas Ravenel thought it was ok to be a drug dealer. Its not his fault he is a criminal. If Democrats had been tougher on druggies and drug cartels, he would have had no one to distribute drugs to and no one to buy drugs from.

We have been in a stalemate with North Korea for over 50 Years. Best guesses are that they developed the technology to build a crude nuclear bomb during the Reagan Administration. They began development of missile Technology during the Bush 1 administration, launching their first test missile in 1993. They began conducting underground nuclear testing and developed their longest range missiles during the Bush 2 administration. Yet somehow, those with Obama derangement syndrome, believe North Korea is an Obama induced problem. What a joke!!!

CITING EXHAUSTION, KIM JONG-UN TO STOP THREATENING WORLD ON WEEKENDS

PYONGYANG (The Borowitz Report) — Saying that he could “no longer keep up the punishing pace of sabre rattling seven days a week,” North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un said today that beginning this month he will take weekends off from vowing to incinerate the world.

After the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) released a revised April Threat Schedule showing that Kim’s declarations of war and doomsday ultimatums would be limited to Monday through Friday, North Korea’s Supreme Leader explained his decision to make his weekends threat-free: “Dad always told me that you have to pace yourself in this job. The biggest danger isn’t the United States — it’s burnout.”

Kim said that he made his decision over the past weekend, after he issued his forty-ninth official statement threatening to engulf the mainland U.S. in a nuclear Armageddon: “I was in the middle of saying ‘infernal sea of fire,’ and I kind of realized, hey, I’m just phoning it in. And I never want to be that guy.”

By resting his violent rhetoric on weekends, Kim said, “On Monday through Friday I’ll have the insanity and unmitigated rage necessary to do this job right.”

Referring to his streak of three hundred and fifty-two consecutive days in which he threatened to destroy the world, Kim said, “I’m proud of it, sure. But nothing lasts forever.”

Kim began the month of April with a fresh round of threats, announcing today that North Korea had blocked South Korea on Pinterest.
