Two prominent, pro-free market South Carolina Congressmen are backing U.S. Sen. Rand Paul’s aggressive play on the immigration issue.

S.C. Reps. Mick Mulvaney and Jeff Duncan – two of the most fiscally conservative, pro-taxpayer lawmakers in Washington, D.C. – have signed onto a letter of support for Paul, who staked out his views on immigration during a speech to the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce earlier this week. This show of support is big news from a policy standpoint, but it’s also big news given Mulvaney and Duncan’s status as coveted endorsements in the 2016 “First in the South” presidential primary (which will almost certainly feature Paul as a top contender).

“While we recognize that many details and specific proposals will need to be worked out, we want you to know that we support what we see as the three-legged stool of systemic immigration reform,” the lawmakers wrote to Paul, referencing enhanced border security, expanded legal immigration and a ‘pathway to status’ for those immigrants currently in the country illegally.

Those three core concepts were at the heart of Paul’s big immigration speech earlier this week.

“We believe such an approach would put the broader health of our economy – not entrenched special interests – at the forefront of this debate,” the Congressmen wrote. “Indeed, it would go great lengths to reinforce the principles we share as Americans, and as sons and daughters of immigrants ourselves.”

Joining Mulvaney and Duncan in signing the letter of support were U.S. Reps. Justin Amash (R-Michigan), Thomas Massie (R-Kentucky), Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) and Trey Radal (R-Florida).

It’s only BIG NEWS to liberals and modertes like FITS…
Conservatives will solve this issue. Ad we don’t have to be Anti-Ameircan like Obama, McCain and FITS to do it…
Leftwingers and moderates are desperate to make immigration an issue.
You MUST pit black against white, female against male and illegal against legal to motivate your dolts….and turn the easily led against American values…
We can do it…and not the stupid way, like the left wants to do…

Because SC did such a great job picking the eventual winner in its “First in the South” Republican presidential primary last year…

FITS, this must drive you absolutely bat-$hit crazy to finally come to the realization that all these guys are now sucking up to Lindsey Grahamnesty on immigration. Each and every one of them – Paul, Duncan, Mulvaney – is adopting Grahamnesty’s position.

So what’s the take?

– Have these fiscally conservative freedom fighters sold us out?

– Or, oh @#@#$, maybe Graham has been right all along and I just don’t have the cajones to admit it?

Rand would stop automatic citizenship for births in the USA, which is outdated and is the reason for the huge voting block.

1. Work with the legal Latino’s, talk to them.
2. Secure the border (seriously)
3. Ban auto citizenship
4. Green cards and a road to citizenship

Secure the border before the economy picks up, we have 1/3 less illegals than 6 years ago in my state of Alabama.

Hey goofy, you wouldn’t know your a** if you had both hands on it.

So Rand’s gonna stop automatic citizenship for births in the US, huh? Hey, there’s something called the US Constitution and this ‘auto citizenship’ (which you obviously have no understanding of) is protected by it.

Man, you Tea Bag gers are so freakin’ stupid…Jindal was right about all of you.

Suddenly amnesty for law breakers and free access to American welfare is the new policy of the GOP. Deport them all, and Rand along with them.
