According to a ranger who spoke with Fox News, the National Park Service is deliberately exaggerating the impact of budget cuts associated with “the sequester” – a modest reduction in government excess which kicked in earlier this month.
“Apparently, they want the public to feel the pain,” the ranger told the network.
Hmmmm … if true, such a strategy would obviously be in keeping with the broader sequester approach adopted by the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama.
But here’s a much better question: Why are taxpayers subsidizing the National Park Service in the first place? In fact why are taxpayers subsidizing parks at any level of government?
The federal government’s debt is more than $16.6 trillion, people … which means it is time (past time, actually) to start prioritizing core functions of government. Privatizing our parks is a common sense place to start … and if some people find that too “painful,” then tough shit.

It’s the only way they have to fight back….make the most marginal of cuts painful in an effort to get the sheeple squawking. It’s similar to White House tour cancellations….hit the sheeple where they notice the most so they don’t want any more faux “cuts”.

Why do nut jobs have a problem with certain unique property being held in common, for the benefit of all? Do churches represent socialism as well? They are owned in common.
FITS, to avoid hypocrisy, be sure to never take your kids to a park.
“Do churches represent socialism as well?”
The answer is no, because people are voluntarily choosing to give their money to the church for said purpose. It is not being taken from them against their will.
Capitalism: Voluntary exchange
Socialism: Involuntary(for some)

Marx’s labor theory(of value) is not what the issue is here…it’s forced giving of your money versus unforced, with all due respect.
Hey genius, he didn’t say get rid of them. Their operations should be privatized.
Most churches are little more than tax-exempt, PAC’s or ,at worst,’hate groups’;most in SC..
Tax the fucking goddamn churches
