Special elections are notoriously difficult to poll accurately. Take a pound of salt with any of them.

Voters in the greater Charleston Area are infamous for their due diligence in electing candidates with a known track record:

Sanford is a known liar
Sanford is a known cheat
Sanford is a known adulterer
Sanford is a known double dealer
Sanford is a known cheapskate

Sanford will be elected

Nothing is lower, other than maybe Richard Eckstrom!

Really? The ‘best choice’ is a philandering adulterer, who lied to his wife and the people of South Carolina. The man is a national joke and an embarrassment to South Carolina. We can’t come up with anyone less ridiculous to represent South Carolina?

People of SC-1 read the NY Mag article and pick up on
the nuances of Sanford’s malignant narcissism. That “introspective
streak” the author mentions is really just a brooding, inner paranoia. A
narcissist also learns to pick up on social cues by faking or imitating
“normal” to get something back (your vote.) The tears, the
seeming vulnerability are real but they’re for him, and all to garner your
sympathy. From all the psycho-babble, he knows his lack of empathy is a trademark of his disorder, so he now advises us that he has a new appreciation of and sensitivity for it. Wrong! Look at his RECENT actions toward his family even after his “inner journey.” He will always be a user/manipulator:
frugal with his dollars but not yours as he conducts his affairs, repeatedly
asking his wife to reconcile while still seeing his mistress, asking his
ex-wife to help him secure his future (with the absent fiancee) by getting him elected (he is so magnanimous), placing his sons and former wife in an awkward position of implied endorsement for this congressional bid, rationalizing infidelity because of the “business marriage” that he orchestrated (after his ex-wife birthed 4 babies, managed campaigns, career, and family) Would you act in this careless and cruel manner? If so, Sanford’s your man.

That’s some good, high-quality armchair analysis right there…

Heard it straight from one of the more prominent candidates that Bostic is the dark horse in this race. He’s working the “large” non-denominational churches very hard.

Odd..at a straw poll yesterday at the Summerville 9/12 Bostic received ZERO votes, along with six other candidates. Hmm.

My yardstick for a candidate is pretty straight forward. Who among them would stand up for the Constitution the way Sen Rand Paul did yesterday. Currently that list is two names long.
