Immigration Leakage

As we’ve noted on numerous occasions the debate over “immigration reform” is much ado about nothing. “What the hell do (people) think a ‘pathway to citizenship’ is?” we wrote recently, “… (b)eyond a glaringly obvious admission that America lacks the resources and political will to deport anybody.” Oh, and nobody’s…

As we’ve noted on numerous occasions the debate over “immigration reform” is much ado about nothing.

“What the hell do (people) think a ‘pathway to citizenship’ is?” we wrote recently, “… (b)eyond a glaringly obvious admission that America lacks the resources and political will to deport anybody.”

Oh, and nobody’s building a wall on the U.S.-Mexican border either …

Accordingly, when U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration unveils a “backup” amnesty plan to the amnesty plan currently being negotiated by liberal U.S. Senators like John McCain and Lindsey Graham … forgive us for not getting too bent out of shape about it.

At the end of the day, the millions of people living in this country illegally aren’t going anywhere – nor will anything be done to prevent more of them from coming here (despite the Senators’ talk of so-called “metrics” for securing the border).

What are those metrics? Nobody seems to know …

Obama’s proposed bill is nothing but a bid for the federal government to cash in on all this amnesty – and slip its tentacles deeper into the free market in the process.

That’s a recipe for disaster for businesses … who will continue to be shaken down for fines associated with the government’s big, bad E-Verify program (which has thus far been a disaster).

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again … absent mass deportations (which are clearly never going to happen), “immigration reform” is nothing but a bunch of politicians tinkering around the edges of a problem they’ll never solve.

Sort of like our nation’s mushrooming debt …

“(b)eyond a glaringly obvious admission that America lacks the resources and political will to deport anybody.”

What you actually don’t know truly astounds me.

Then read the press release in the article, moron. Of course it’s all lies ’cause it’s coming from the government, so never mind.

Anything about Fast and Furious or Benghazi in it???
And let me guess: you believe anything and everything Obama tells you..even the unemployment numbers the month before Election Day…

Tell me, BigT, were the unemployment numbers that were produced before the election incorrect?

Anybody else think this new set-up is proving to be a Disaster for FITS…
I’ve always believed that FITS was going to get bitten, and bitten hard if ther’s any justice. I just did not think he would eat himself…I figured he’d be lead off in handcuffs or sued into poverty…..
But he might better scramble to fix this mess he and his bosses have made…or his 15 minutes may turn to a pumpkin…

Immigration is good for the economy. It would boost the US economy. Immigrants are 30% more likely to start a new business than native-born Americans, and to earn patents. An economist at Agnes Scott College did a study that showed that every additional 100 foreign-born workers in science and technology fields is associated with 262 additional jobs for US natives. They assimilate well and by the second and third generation, they do not look much different than native born Americans. They are much less likely to wind up in prison or mental hospitals than native borns. According to the Congressional Budget Office, giving the illegals a path to citizenship would increase the taxes they pay by $48 billion, and the cost of public services they use by $23 billion, leaving a SURPLUS of $25 billion.

I am sorry, but native Americans are not getting the job done for America. As college students, they’re fucking, sexting, texting, drinking, drugging, increasing credit card debt, and having a good time off their upper middle class parents. Kids born in SC have no interest in busting their asses to get ahead. So, South Carolina, weep when you seen a Chinese kid or a Mexican kid moving to the front of the class. It is a strong signal of the decline of your own state. The foreigners can and will turn the color of our nation and our grandchildren darker and darker. These immigrants are not spoiled rotten like our native kids.

FITS, why don’t you put a little more thought into your immigration arguments, instead of forcing us readers to wipe the foaming anger from your mouth? We need facts, not foam. And God only knows where your mouth was last night.

The USA already has some of the easiest-to-navigate immigration laws in the world. What’s the point of them if we simply continue to allow people to ignore them? Nobody here is saying immigration is bad.

Sure, easy to navigate. And you only have to wait 6 to 28 years depending on your circumstance.

I try to use something a little more detailed than a cartoon for analyzing immigration laws.

But they’re so easy to navigate. A cartoon should be one of the simplest ways to illustrate the laws.

What happened to the word, illegal, in these discussions? Yes, legal immigrants are more likely to start a new business, why do you think the immigrate to start with? Of course most of those businesses elect not to follow our rules and they have incentives not available to those of us “Unfortunate” to be born here.
Yes, we are the victims fo a borken educational system and media who do not report but interpert the news.
You can not lump everyone who was not born here under the umbrella word “immigrant’ and present a true picture of what is really happening.
Until the 14th Admendment is addressed to remove the incentive of anchor babies or hospitals set up to service the rich from other countries who want to come here 8 months pregnant to assure their child has dual citizenship we will continue to have a “drain” on our economy and faced with “citizens” who are raised in countries where our beliefs and values are “evil”.
Please provide me a list of countries where “simply being born there gives you citizenship” .
Also take the time to look at what Mexico requires of “immigrants.
Just explain how someone coming here, sending 2 out of every 3 dollars earned out of the country. Having babies at governement (code for taxpayer) expense and then at least partially supported for the next 18 years adds to the economy. The only people who benefit are those who hire them at reduced wages so they can pad their bottom lines.
i am a retired member of management in a large International company and multiple retail store owner who has witinessed most of the “dark” side of immigration (illegal, undocumented and for business only). It would appear from the tone of many of those commenting on these issures have only been in contact with an “immigrant” when they paid for something in a conenience store or had landscape/construction done.

Yes I was born here, served in the armed forces, worked for a living, advanced my education in the days before there was governement help and my ancestors were legal immigrants since they came here before there was an immigration law.

Well, we could give them amnesty like Reagan did. The hold up is the obstructionist Pubs want temporary work visas for farm workers. Might as well give them amnesty like Reagan.
