His honesty is refreshing,and it’s great that a teacher is trying to relate to his students,whatever race…….Most politicians say,I had a black friend or I went to school with a black person,so I’m your man……..After reading this, I’ll have to give Mr Turner some serious thought……….Sad to say,but this being SC,saying he doesn’t relate well to blacks will get him a lot of white” Christian” votes.
You’re right. I’ll take “I have a tough time hangin’ out with black folks ’cause we don’t relate that well” over “I’ll have you know I hired a negro once, AND I have two black friends,” which is exactly what we get from most politician idiots.

Honest? Really? That’s what most people here are praising this guy about. The guy is saying that he doesn’t know how to “relate” to nearly a third of the people he want’s to represent! Honest… he may be but smart he aint.
