it’s very strange that Will is a USC graduate and takes such pride in writing negative articles about them any chance he gets. And this one isn’t even really true. Yes, Pastides was given the $125k raise, but if you click on Will’s own article you will see that the raise is from the foundation and not the State- but this article paints the picture that the raise is coming from the State Budget.

$944M? Where did you pull that number from? You realize the whole budget is not paid for by the state, right? I believe SC paid for 11% of the FY12 budget.
Don’t let facts hold you back FITS you frigging moron! As Daniel notes, $944 million is the total budget for the Columbia campus. Last that I heard, the state contributed 8% of that via appropriations. Of course, more comes in indirectly via lottery funded scholarships, but the university has to compete for those students and, last I heard, you supported competition.
