I have no use for statists of the right or left, because the unifying belief that all of them have is that the State exists to remake society in their image. Broun would willingly use the power of government to force people to adhere to social norms that are guided by his religious faith. That in my opinion is immoral and authoritarian, and is no different than anyone on the left who would use the coercive power of the State to remake society into a more economic equal society, via taxation and wealth redistribution.
