“Tagg” Romney – the eldest son of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney – is mulling a bid for the Bay State U.S. Senate seat recently vacated by newly appointed Secretary of State John Kerry.
According to The Boston Herald, the 42-year-old fortunate son “already has statewide name recognition and could quickly ramp up the campaign infrastructure for a short, five-month race.”
Great … just what America needs: Another f*cking Romney.
Seriously, Republicans … what part of last year’s electoral debacle remains clear?
The Romneys are the latest manifestation of an ideological cancer which has completely incapacitated the GOP. Like the Bushes before them, they are privileged elites who love to spend other people’s money – favoring crony capitalism, loose monetary policy and government-run “economic development” every bit as much as Democrats do. They’re also neocon whores who want to funnel trillions of dollars to our state’s military-industrial complex so America can keep pouring blood and money into conflicts it has no business engaging.
Sort of like certain South Carolina Republicans we know …

If it’s good enough for Teddy Turner, why not for Tagg? “Vote for me; you know my dad.”
I can think of no better name than “Tagg” for the generation offspring of ancestral polygamists.
I wonder if god planted that idea in Mitt & Ann’s head….what a jokester if he did.
Good one!
His ancestors may have been polygamists, but Tagg seems to be shooting blanks.
Is Tagg going to be worse than Scott Brown? I wonder.
Gosh Dagg it:
Tagg Romney said Monday he won’t be a candidate in the Massachusetts Senate special election, but he left open the door to running for office in the future.
“I have been humbled by the outreach I received this weekend encouraging me to become a candidate for the U.S. Senate,” Mitt’s eldest son wrote in a statement Monday evening. “I love my home state and admit it would be an honor to represent the citizens of our great Commonwealth. However, I am currently committed to my business and to spending as much time as I can with my wife and children. The timing is not right for me, but I am hopeful that the people of Massachusetts will select someone of great integrity, vision, and compassion as our next US Senator.”
The only thing good about the entire Romney family is Ann’s great legs and hips.
I’m confused. Purportedly, conservatives cherish entrepreneurialism, success and the fruits that it bears, so what gives FITS? I don’t know shit about Tagg Romney’s political leanings or what he’s done with the luxuries that have been bestowed upon him, but, based on your tone, he’s supposed to sit on the sidelines and shut the fuck up because why … his dad’s rich and you disagree with his dad’s politics? Where exactly do you stand FITS? You sound like a cynical socialist?
Regardless of what you say or think about the Bushes and or Romneys, they’re a pretty successful bunch and I don’t begrudge them for it. They’ve certainly had advantages that most don’t have, but should we not all strive to build strong family pedigrees that provide opportunity for our children? Would you prefer that the offspring spawn from those that created generational wealth piss away opportunity or take advantage of it? It seems that these days, you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Sad really that we’ve come to a point in this country that strong, wealthy families draw the ire of so many. I come from a poor family, but I certainly would like to be the catalyst for a Bush or Romney-like like family dynasty.
Horseshit! Family dynasty crap can take a flying fuck. What are we, N. Korea? Mittens isn’t his dad, G.W. Bush either. …and how the hell does a 25 year old become U.S. Attorny for SC? You guessed it! He’s a Thurmond. Certainly he was the best we had to offer?
