They must have wanted to keep it private. With the FOI act, it seems that we the taxpayers would be privy to these proceedings.

THe Freedom of Information Act requires the presiding officer of a body announce the specific purpose of an “executive session” before they can go behind closed doors. Somebody needs to go and insist on specificity.
