A 23-year-old high school math teacher in Colorado is in hot water after her anonymous Twitter account was exposed – revealing semi-nude pictures, admissions of drug use and a reference to a student as “jailbait.”
Carly McKinney isn’t accused of having sexual (or even improper) relations with students at the school. In fact the “jailbait” reference strikes us as indicative of her awareness of the inappropriateness of such liaisons.
Nonetheless a local news station in Colorado jumped all over the story … as we would have.
Let’s be honest: McKinney’s Twiter account – the since-deleted “Carly Crunk Bear” – is (or was) a treasure trove.

McKinney might have been able to make that compelling case were it not for one ill-advised tweet:

Sometimes (like 0.5% of the time) I want to agree with Will and legalize dope as a cool (and really large scale) social experiment. Sure, it would create tons of negative consequences, but you have to think that Darwinism would take care of things after a few years. This chic is a great example…

I’m for decriminalizing it (Ticket for public use but no jail time) but you pot-heads need to understand this: Dope is dangerous. It is a drug with harmful side effects. It has been linked to dementia and paranoia as well as violent crime.
Stop pretending that Dope is a benign drug you dolts.

Are you kidding? It was a lot of fun hanging out with my stoner college friends at parties, but when I was actually trying to accomplish something they were completely useless.
Consider that she’s teaching at a public school and the typical standards of her colleagues.

Yes it is legal to have under an ounce of weed on you in Colorado (I’m a Denver native, and I smoke pretty regularly), so I think the controversy is that it is still the high schools policy (and all schools for that matter) to be Drug and Alcohol free. Since I am also 23 like this teacher, it’s strange imagining having to conform to all the social responsibilities of being a real teacher at such a young age; obviously highering her (pun intended) so early was a mistake…and now she’s going to have to to pay for her young idiocy for a long time. Quite unfortunate.

Media acts like people dont have lives outside of there jobs? I dont see why they make such a big deal out of things like this? I bet half the media has a drinking problem, or have did drugs in the past? as long as she isnt having relations with her students there shouldnt be an issue!! But of course the media likes to blow other peoples lives out of proportion as long as its not them on the burner!!! THE MEDIA IS A JOKE!!!!!
