I agree – he seems like all of the self-important shits in the 1st District race.
Then again, when I was in law school there was always some kind of drama like this going on. Which is why I mailed it in after about day 3 of law school and graduated near the bottom.

Apparently you missed Vietnam. Our soldiers were forced to replace their M 16 clips with wooden blocks because the pols didn’t want any non combatants shot. Never mind it was a war zone and it was next to impossible to determine friend from foe.
Doesn’t the post refer to “Training, training, and more training…”? Would not training sometimes involve things other than live ammo?
The “plug” in his M4 is a flash suppessor, a device that helps the weapon shoot blanks, because they do not have a lot of powder and need help to load the next round from the magazine. And yes they are used for training, not defending him but it is a real weapon.
LOL, you all got it wrong – the yellow tool is a blank adapter, not a “flash suppressor.” Hell i’ll defend him – it’s a real weapon, and probably real damn cold. Everyone must go through situational training both pre and post mobilization where everyone is shooting blanks at actors in costume – it is realistic training. Yall can keep up the comedy, just poppin in here to get the facts straight.

But Mikie was supposed to train stateside for one month, then leave for Afghanistan. He has only been gone for a couple weeks. Things don’t compute. Maybe that picture was taken at the base in Ohio?

The picture of Haley was probably taken at Camp Atterbury, IN. The giveaway is the yellow blank firing adapter on the muzzle of his M-4, the lack of any magazines, no body armor or Kevlar – his unit has at least another month of admin processing, shots and training before they actually deploy.
HMMWVs are no longer used much in Afghanistan – what few are there are restricted to the FOBs, the ones in the background of his picture are several generations old.
Teddy Turner was actually a quite successful bidnessman.
He built Charleston Boatworks, a very successful yacht builder/maintenance company in Charleston and he got the “Spirit of South Carolina” in the water after the project languished for years. He’s now the chairman of the board for the “Spirit”. The post said training, and that none were complaining. It WAS that cold in Indiana lately.
I get a kick out of all the never been away from home, never trained, never faced months without the family assholes criticizing those who are doing all three.
