A women’s caucus, presumably formed with the basic premises of advancing and supporting women in leadership positions, allows itself to to be the instrument of a political vendetta (of a has-been, political sore loser), the purpose of such vendetta being to scuttle the judicial campaign of another woman.
Unbelievable! This type of catty, petty and childish behavior is illustrative of the stereotypes women have fought to overcome as they have striven to attain leadership roles in various social, legal and political institutions long dominated by males.
Icing on the cake is they have a women putting herself out there to run for judge, a role dominated by men, and these so-called leaders put catty vendetta’s in front of the values of their caucus and working women everywhere. Well played ladies.

I think the main role this website serves is in identifying political, rather than purely social, problems. The problems are not rarely individuals or small groups. There, SC tends to have too much respect for well-positioned or long-lineaged miscreants, not too little respect. We are almost a feudal culture still, with far too much deference given to “the lords and squires.” The mocking disrespectful tone taken to the many unworthy elements in this “genrty” is just fine with me.

When I read this blog. . Which I probably should stop doing, I realize that we, Americans, don’t need to worry about WMDs, terrorists or Iran. We are doing such a good job of destroying ourselves from the inside.All we spew is hate and threats. We hate each other indescriminately. We’ve created and continue to perpetuate a nation that has become The Hatfield and the McCoys–the ‘Montagues and the Capulets. Sadly, the media and blogs such as this one allow us to spew our private insecurities and prejudice without taking responsibility for it. Why aren’t we working together to find answers for our problems? We talk terribly about our youth and their immaturity. I’m ashamed to say–we aren’t setting any type of example for them. Takes one to know one, I heard. I am a young college age woman in the SC Honors College recently out of high school and the awareness regarding cyber bullying is stronger now than ever. I cannot believe a grown man is low enough to be an example of this, calling hard-working women in the legislature “bitches” and “whores” and being praised for it by some commentators. If you made such statements about a racial minority or the LGBT community right now you would be strung up by your toes. Just unbelievable and shows a young person how much work still needs to be done to educate pinheads such as yourself. Do you have a daughter? And it doesn’t have to be politicians. Have you met the puffed-up “big frogs” infesting middle management of some of the agencies? Not all the persons, of course, or even most, but plenty enough.
