He demanded and rec’d kickbacks for over ten years on auto repairs for the county and was just sentenced to a whopping 10 years SUSPENDED to 5 years on probation.

Of course, all we remember and read about are the sensational stories that undermine Sheriff Parker’s persona.
I’m sorry, this story is a lot of “what if’s” and other he-said, she-said stuff.
The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office is staffed by an outstanding group of Men and Women, and I am proud to say that I am a resident of Chesterfield.
I would rather have Sheriff Parker defending my house/property/persona than any of the nay-sayers and criticizers posting here.

This is crazy!! Sam Parker is one of the most upstanding citizens of Chesterfield County! I am with S. Griggs, I feel safer knowing that he is protecting us and for those of you that are calling him fat, you obviously don’t know the man and how strong he is! I would hate to be on his bad side!
Ryan Schallenberger?? Really with all that has went on in Cnesterfield county you choose Schallenberger? Please google Schallenberger so you can see a real police officer in retired Police chief Randall Lear speaking about him or that fact NO ONE would have known about what he was planning had his own parents not turned him in!! Yes I agree Sam has done some great things for Chesterfield County and has some of the best personell around,but he had nothing to do with preventing Schallenberger that pat on the back goes to the kids parents and no one else. Also Sam is a great guy have known him most of my life, but IF he is wrong he’s wrong no way to sugar coat it. Just because we like a person is not a reason to turn a blind eye to what they do. I love my mom, but if she committs a crime she needs to face the consequences simple as that.

Typical behavior of elected officials in our area. They all feel as if they are entitled to special privileges and we as citizens should feel lucky to have them in those positions. I will have to say, he learned from the best! Jay Hodge is a professional at this game and Sam is just following a tried and true successful pattern; monkey see, monkey do I will be VERY surprised if this, like all things in this county, doesn’t just ride off into the sunset sheriff!

Here is Sam Parkers (known)record as a Sheriff, of Chesterfield County.
*Deputies dealing Meth out of the patrol car, never suspected or caught by Sam.
*Deputy driving around in county car while intoxicated. Nothing done except reccomended and hired by Cheraw Police Dept. Officer uses the patrol car to “Do doughnuts” in Bojangles parking lot. Officer arrested after hours long stand off with SWAT Team.
*Another deputy selling pills and meth out of patrol car, Sam pledges his allegance and support to the officer, when officer caught by another law enforcement agency. Stated “He is a good officer and I stand behind him”. (Musta been a stupid dealer cause he got caught).
*Animal control officers selling meds used to put down animals at shelter.
* Animal control officers shooting dogs and putting puppies and kittens in plastic bags and buried alive!
*Animal control officers selling pit-bulls to people for dog fighting (all on video). Officers put on PAID LEAVE with full benefits!
*Loaning and transporting county owned, heavy equipment to private property to be used for clearing land. All paid for by the tax-payers.
*Using inmates to personal/monetary gain.
*Allowing two county inmates, to reside at the armory, unsupervised, allowed to leave at free will.
*Repairing a vintage mustang for Hodge, at county repair shop(inmates did the work and county paid for the parts).
Just to name a FEW, commonly known, “Infractions” while he has been in office. Yep….he fits right in around Chesterfield County Leaders,politicians and law enforcement.

Sled really needs to widen their investigation to Pageland Police Department in Chesterfield County. Parker doesn’t hold a candle to the Pageland Police Chief

You don’t know what you’re talking about. I understand that you want to protect the reputation of your friend, but first of all, Michael Lee is the one being victimized and his name is the one being dragged through the mud. Nowhere does it say that he admitted to stealing a gun. In fact, he did not. The problem here is not one of “the blame game”. The problem is that Mr. Parker has skeletons in his closet, and when he tried to blame Mr. Lee for something that he didn’t do, SCDC stepped in and took over. Mr. Lee did not blame Mr. Parker for anything. During the course of the investigation, those skeletons have started falling out of Mr. Parker’s closet. If he had not lied on Mr. Lee, that closet would have never been opened.
These so-called “sources” of Will’s have just enough information to be dangerous. They know a little bit about what happened and just made up the rest. Mr. Lee was never an SCDC employee. In fact, he is the one who made 1 mistake (arson of his OWN house) and is paying a high price (15 years) for it. Mr. Parker took advantage of him and tried to ship him off and/or keep his mouth shut about what REALLY goes on in the sheriff’s department. That doesn’t exactly sound like an upstanding and honorable sheriff to me. It sounds like someone who is scared because he KNOWS that his past has caught up with him. “Be sure that your sins will find you out.”

Parker has always been an arrogant shit. He puts off this persona of being a humbled, selfless individual, but he’s always plotting to better himself. I guess he gets his entitlement attitude honestly, being from Chesterfield County and educated by some of the state’s finest professors on sticking it to the average citizen with no accountability. As for me, I hope they pin him, but when you look at history, generally the ones in his group, and we all know who they are, receive nothing more than a little negative publicity, a smack on the hand, and a promotion.
Clearly, you are from the Chesterfield area. I thought this would be a sweet little area to retire and enjoy some southern charm, get involved with the local school board, town and county councils. Ladies & Gentlemen, Listen to yourselves, do you “really” know Sam Parker? Probably not even as good as I do, which is very little. So why do you get on here & badger, degrade, & disrespect him when no formal investigation findings have been released!! Have you prayed for or otherwise given your support to this elected official? If not, what right do you have at this point to badger him? If you were in his position the county would so gracefully be thriving under your leadership???? Somehow I would have to doubt that. I didn’t think the Shelter was under Parker anymore. And speaking to animal congrol trucks being on the road alot,I would hope they were out most of the day picking up strays and not sitting on their butts all day in the office. Personally, I haven’t seen one of them on the road in a very long time.

Well, if you see them out at night, then it’s up to you to question the county about it. If they have new trucks,then it is also up to residents to quesiton that too. well if sam is guilty of anything it is of helping people that need a leg up i have known him and worked with him 20 plus years ago in the chesterfield co jail he had compassion for those that were in there and was the very professional guy at all times. I am of the opinion that if anything he was trying to help his fellow man and that does not always follow the law the human factor has to prevail or we are in a sad state. what are the details of the contriban charage did he provide a candy bar or cheese burger ? he has helped alot of people in this county he did not have to . will his replacement be Kip Kiser damn he is the biggest crook in the county for sure all hidden behind a funeral home . he cant even embalm a body he hires it done ?? how can he be sheriff ? he only passed mortuary school with the help of classmates (i was one ) he is just a fake at best . wake up people
