I agree. I could not make it to the game myself due to work, but did watch as much of it as I could on TV. I can say I was very pleased with the effort the lady Gamecocks put forth. I have noticed in women’s basketball there is always 4 or 5 teams (the same teams every year just about) that just dominate, and it is very hard if not impossible for another team to even come close to playing with them. It seems more so in women’s basketball than in any sport (men’s or women’s). For Coach Staley’s team to play them down to the end as well as they did against the best in the nation(it was tied with 1:20 to go)shows to at least myself that she is building a program that could very well be one of those 4 or 5 teams soon. Hats off to a great coach, and great team, and yes coach Staley I think you put a good product on the floor and I cant wait to show my support in person very soon.

As I life long USC fan and alumus, I appreciate your fine words about Coach Staley and her youthful team. If you are going to “continue scrutinizing” USC, including its stellar athletic programs, then I suggest you fairly do the same for the state’s other major tax-funded, semi-private instuition near Walhalla. Lot of shit goes up there unreported and it should be. To them, I say “FEAR THE THUMB.”
