I’m starting to wonder how many stock photos of power lines you have.
Oh, and congratulations on being a real ass with this one:
FITS: We don’t grieve politicians who help flush our Republican further down the toilet.
Smirks,
You think he maybe meant “…flush our Republic down the toilet…”? I can give you a list of “Republicans” who should be flushed down the toilet.
I’m no fan of Inouye’s politics but he is a Medal of Honor recipient and was a Company Commander in the vaunted 442 Regimental Combat Team during WWII – a remarkable guy no doubt.
Joe Wilson should be flushed down the toilet. Around the bowl and down the hole go Joe go! He’s a disgrace to the Second District.
Amen Tammy!
How come you’re not covering the 5th Circuit Solicitor Moak who got shit-canned because of some creepy shit? Probably some illegal shit.
Just read what WIS has on this guy. Can’t wait to see what Queen Jean does with him.
(Probably nothing…)
Always ask: What’s in Jean’s best interest and you will have your answer. Moak is a Democrat and may have something on Dan Johnson, a Toalite. If that’s the case, then nothing will happen to moak. If they need a token government lawyer to fry, then he’s toast. It’s completely at Jean’s political whim. If he can come up with a fat fee to pay Betsy Gray or Michael Virzi, he get out with a private reprimand.
“I’d vote Mick Mulvaney or Jeff Duncan for Speaker”
Mulvaney can’t see over the podium. That is his “statue” in the House. A majority of Members would collectively say “WHO?” if either were nominated.
agree cnSTD im still trying to figure out what exactly Deminted did the whole time in DC. I look forward to Sen Graham finnaly having someone to help him and our state.
Don’t forget, Mulvaney and Duncan are part of the “Four Horsemen”, as Mulvaney put it! As I stated yesterday, I thought that the 4 horsemen were a wrestling quartet that used to be on Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling every Saturday at 12 noon on WBTW out of Florence. Some mighty fine “rassling”, I say!
One of wrestling’s 4 horsemen was a midget?
The original Horsemen were, and always will be, Flair, Ole, Arn and Tully.
Mulvaney is a joke. Although back in the day midgets did wrestle. Little Tokyo comes to mind.
Big Daddy, Why only four horsemen when we had six (now 7) representatives in the U.S. House? Who got left out?
I reckon he (Mulvaney) was referring to the 4 newly elected house members, Mulvaney, Duncan, Gowdy, Scott.
Its easy to forget that sleaze ball lying Joe Wilson. There are 6 Congressman and one Idiot.
FITS, Daniel Inouye was not only a veteran he was a CONGRESSIONAL MEDAL OF HONOR receipient. Here is the Wikipedia entry describing why:
On April 21, 1945, Inouye was grievously wounded while leading an assault on a heavily-defended ridge near San Terenzo in Tuscany, Italy called Colle Musatello. The ridge served as a strongpoint along the strip of German fortifications known as the Gothic Line, which represented the last and most unyielding line of German defensive works in Italy. As he led his platoon in a flanking maneuver, three German machine guns opened fire from covered positions just 40 yards away, pinning his men to the ground. Inouye stood up to attack and was shot in the stomach; ignoring his wound, he proceeded to attack and destroy the first machine gun nest with hand grenades and fire from his Thompson submachine gun. After being informed of the severity of his wound by his platoon sergeant, he refused treatment and rallied his men for an attack on the second machine gun position, which he also successfully destroyed before collapsing from blood loss.
As his squad distracted the third machine gunner, Inouye crawled toward the final bunker, eventually drawing within 10 yards. As he raised himself up and cocked his arm to throw his last grenade into the fighting position, a German inside the bunker fired a rifle grenade that struck him on the right elbow, severing most of his arm and leaving his own primed grenade reflexively “clenched in a fist that suddenly didn’t belong to me anymore”.[10] Inouye’s horrified soldiers moved to his aid, but he shouted for them to keep back out of fear his severed fist would involuntarily relax and drop the grenade. As the German inside the bunker reloaded his rifle, Inouye pried the live grenade from his useless right hand and transferred it to his left. As the German aimed his rifle to finish him off, Inouye tossed the grenade off-hand into the bunker and destroyed it. He stumbled to his feet and continued forward, silencing the last German resistance with a one-handed burst from his Thompson before being wounded in the leg and tumbling unconscious to the bottom of the ridge. When he awoke to see the concerned men of his platoon hovering over him, his only comment before being carried away was to gruffly order them to return to their positions, since, as he pointed out, “nobody called off the war!”
This country and freedom loving people everywhere will miss this man many, many, many times more than ANY blogger that ever lived. You should be embarrased.
Inouye had balls of steel, that’s for damn sure.

Thanks for posting that, Vic. Every once in a while Will goes off the rails and needs to be put in his place.

Very cool. One of my relatives was a white officer who served with him. He always respected Daniel.
Looks like the local election bd. punted last night. Lillian has divine right.
More of a fumble than a punt; they didn’t improve field position.
Looks like James Smith and Beth Bethstein have seen the light and announced they will vote “no confidence.” One report said that Joel Lourie has said he would vote “no confidence,” but I don’t think he should vote at all. He got McBride to hire his brother in law. Well, take that back: It would be the Richland County Democratic Party way for him to vote no confidence on McBride, then put his brother in law in the position.
“She is hired to INSURE that all is legal, ethical, and goes smoothly and quickly.”
It’s ENSURE, Azar. Insure means to protect the person or object against risk by regularly paying an insurance company a sum of money.
Although it wouldn’t be a bad idea to make the elections head insure it from now on as well. (From their own pocket.)
Re: Bachmann going for speaker
Daily Currant is a wannabe The Onion website, not that anyone expects a bit of research on the site
I prefer the lying cop-war hero to that smarmy-ass bastard,Tim Scott. How often does he have to toss Haley’s salad for this job, anyway? He’s got Astroglide on his teeth.

You are wrong about Rivers Bridge being the only “serious” resistence to Sherman’s march. their was a major battle in Aiken, delaying actions in Orangeburg, Cheraw and at Congree Creek below Cayce. Also a Sherman ordered raid on Florence was repulsed by the Confederates.
Tom – please don’t stir Will’s history grits. Just ignore any historical reference he makes because 99 times out of 100 he has is wrong.
The State newspaper is running an article about future funding at USC. In it it states that USC is developing a new computer system that will allow students to do several things like register for courses and manager their financial aid. It’s called OneCarolina. You need to do some digging into this. It’s been in the works for several years at the cost of 10’s of millions of dollars. They released it on a beta test for a small section of the university, but they’ve run into a snag which could require them to start over because they can’t get it to work for the rest of the university. Rather than buy an off the shelf proven program used by several other universities for much less than they already have into this program they tried to build their own to sell to other schools to generate revenue. It’ll never happen, because they’ll never get this project to work.
I’m glad you realize it all suck, and You suck, and Warren’s a big fag ,Cindi ,a trigger-licker,and shit, but I am not compelled to go there or ,whatever…,you know-dat was da knewspaper long ago,yeah..,and all—-whatebber__
RayTanner is SO hotttttt;ouch,,,GOCoCkadoodledoooooooooooooooo
9″ – You okay?
Is anyone looking into what has gone on behind the scenes of the I 526 extension debacle? Charleston County Council members were strong-armed into changin their votes on the construction of the road. A SC Infrastructure Board member retracted his statements about the Board’s discretionary power on funding for the road — was he threatened, too?
