SHUN GRIFFIN CHARGED WITH STALKING
The President of the Student Bar Association at the Charleston School of Law (CSOL) has been arrested in connection with an alleged stalking incident that took place nearly two months ago.
Shun A. Griffin was arrested on October 21 in Richland County, S.C. Details of the incident – including the identity of the individual allegedly stalked by Griffin – were not immediately available.
Griffin was elected by CSOL students back in March to a one-year term. A Greenwood, S.C. native, Griffin received his undergraduate degree from Furman University prior to arriving at CSOL. An outspoken liberal, Griffin recently used his student leadership post to launch a jihad against fast food chain Chick-fil-A over its owners’ views on homosexuality.
“I’m not surprised,” one of Griffin’s fellow students told FITS. “He’s crazy. He’s absolutely crazy.”
CSOL has been a laughing stock in recent years, given its abysmal passage rates (and efforts by the S.C. Supreme Court to artificially inflate them). It’s also been the source of constant student infighting … including the various exploits of some wanna be “Skull and Bones” types.

Looks like another candidate has stepped up to the plate to replace Timmie Two Shoes
Sharpton – Many say the same thing about USC School of Law. Let’s just say there isn’t a legitimate school of law in the state of South Carolina. We have two who will accept anyone with a valid tuition check.
You don’t even need a tuition check. Financial aid is readily available for black law school applicants who have graduated from just about any college and can read on an eighth grade level. Minorities are also lured by not having to take a full class load their first year. It was found that too many flunked out if asked to take the normal five classes. Blacks who are intellectually capable of actually making it through law school don’t stick around SC. They are in such huge demand that they can take their pick of the best schools in the country. Don’t forget, most have already benefitted extensively from Affirmative Action in college application processes and class loads, etc.
…. the Charleston School of the Lawless?
Charleston School of Laughingstocks
Is this school even approved by the ABA? Who would actually go there?
Was he stalking a female or a male?
Don’t know but he did leave a clue. The following was found scrawled on the wall of the holding cell:
so listen boys if you meet a tall girl
that you would like to caress
look out for a five o’clock shadow
and a big bulge in her dress
or if you wake one night to high heels clickin’
down a lonely motel hall
you better pull the covers over your head
and turn your face against the wall
’cause he won’t kiss and tell
but he might kiss and well…
He needs to talk to Thad Viers about how to play the “Four Corners” defense. Delay, slow the game down. Everybody loses interest. Tracey Edge knows that ploy as well.
There’s no better way to learn about the legal system than playing ball on both sides of it.
Let’s call it CSOL’s new internship program.
:)
Having read Mr. Griffin’s occasional epistles launched in our the newspaper – it was amazing he was allowed into Furman, and much more that he made it to ANY law school. A belligerent dummy of the first order.
People should adhere to his first name and “SHUN” him.
Not a person to get to know…
Never heard of him
Fits, how is this news?
Easy, the subject is an “outspoken liberal”, (besides being a little off the wall). Now it’s “Big T” time…
Outspoken liberals are everywhere. Frankly, they are far more interesting than outspoken Republicans. I guess it is better embarrassing the minority in SC one liberal at a time right?
As a CSOL student, I can honestly say that time and time again Shun has brought nothing but negativity and shame to our school… along with the skulls crew. There’s no place for that in this city or institution.
That school is a joke. Sounds like an Al Sharpton/Jesse Jackson/ Bakari Sellers whistle blowing trouble maker in training.
But hey, it’s a PRIVATE institution – Isn’t that the type that our dear FITS is so much in favor of and that all state funded institutions should be defunded and go private like CSOL (not to be confused with that other paragon of private law colleges: Charlotte School of Law i.e. CSOL) or Universities of Pheonix (a number of which are being investigated by a number of states, BTW)
Gedney still hasn’t sold his stock in that tawdry outfit. I’m LMAO.
Gedney Howe has stock in this place?
Nice suit. You’re gonna love the way you look. I guarantee it.
My girlfriend thinks that I’m a stalker. Well, she’s not exactly my
girlfriend yet.
A tip of the hat to you; good lick.
I seriously doubt whether any of the posters here could even get into law school. More envy from the incapable.
Or want to. No, not envy, more like schadenfreude
“Schadenfreude” is my favorite German word and a perfect description of situation for most of us here observing.
Sauerkraut is my next favorite German word, but I digress.
CSOL is a joke!
Only 39% of CSOL graduates had “law-related” jobs nine months after graduation last year. The rest were probably tempted to rob banks to pay their student loans. Yes, CSOL is quite a joke.
Interesting that there is nothing on his facebook news feed from the month of October.
A black liberal Democrat at the CSOL. CJ Jean Toal will protect him 19 different ways. The charges will be dismissed and he will be IS Leevy Johnson’s law clerk in a few months. It’s over. Move on.
Isn’t this the person who claimed a racist note was left on his car last year? The school may have a lot of problems but seems like he is problem #1. AND if the school allows him to stay / state allows him to get a law degree…well then both are the biggest joke in the legal arena.
Joe Wilsons son is Attorney General of South Carolina and hes dumb as Hell.
Why pick on this nobody
If youre REALLY concerned about “jokes in the legal arena?”
This is an Uncle Tom. No negro belongs in the CHarleston School of Losers
….. “life is like a box of chocolates”
He’s certainly chocolate!
This wasn’t meant to be posted. I was trying out the spell/check app on my new Windows 8 PC – works pretty good on postings here.
Bitches ain’t shit but hos and tricks. Did he ax about ‘er too much? How can a woman ever have equality if all through their lives their falling back in the “women and children” category while acting like victims? Why should a woman ever be a leader if she can’t get out of the victim box? A man goes to prison for 25 years for rape. A DNA test sets him free and instead of being hugged and petted, he is told “just be a man about it”. Why can’t women suck it up if they seek equality? Women above the age if 18 do not beling in the same category as children!
I haven’t spoken to Shun in years but he is a genuinely nice person and far more intelligent than most of the people commenting on this board seem to be.
Just to add to the discussion — the sheer number of individuals commenting on his race in these comments supports his prior claim that he’s faced discrimination in the past, no?
At least he’s doing something with his life by pursuing higher education. CSOL is certainly not top tier but the ABA accredits it.
Further, as a lawyer (from an out of state law school, for those of you who seem to believe all SC schools are a joke), I’d like to point out that having charges brought against you in no way, shape, or form means you are guilty of anything.
Folks: I pull for you. I really do. I think you serve a valuable role in holding our state politicians, educational leaders, etc accountable. But headlining stories like this and the one about the cat fight at Charleston Law really destroy any credibility that you are trying to build. Attack both school’s leaders and policies if need be. Publishing graduate student drama is below any marginally credible media outlet. What does it achieve? You’re better than this.
“I haven’t spoken to Shun in years but he is a genuinely nice person and far more intelligent than most of the people commenting on this board seem to be. ”
Jerry Sandusky was a popular fellow too, likewise Joe Paterno who covered for him.
Degeneracy crosses all all racial and economic and academic barriers. One could be a nice person, have social skills, and be a stalker or worse.
Example: Ted Bundy.
You’re a stupid cunt. Paterno told the AD and the school President what he knew or had been told. It is reasonable to expect that they would take it from there. He was a football coach, not a cop. So you were tight with Ted Bundy, huh? Eat shit and die.
So for all of those comments, let me set the story
straight and give you FACTS:
Although this incident happened two years ago, I have recently
been made aware of this website with this article; therefore, I am going to
speak on it. As a subject in this matter, it is my right and desire to give my
account for the record.
z
I am the alleged “victim”. This is a title that was given
to me, just as this was an article that was posted about a situation without
my consent or knowledge which was out of my hands.
Prior to all of this happening below, I broke up with him
6 days prior and refused to speak to him.
Of course the University of South Carolina school
officials and the police department will get involved and make arrests based on
the following:
1. Shun calling the school police department, pretending
to be a doctor stating a medical emergency that was false, in order to get me
(the ex-girlfriend by choice) to give him a call. Yes that’s right; the police
officers came to my classroom with an emergency message. (Mind you the
“doctor” stated that Shun was unconscious and at MUSC in Charleston)
*Side note: I called MUSC and they didn’t have a patient
with his name.
2. Shun leaving Charleston to come to Columbia the same
day number 1 happened ( I thought you were unconscious) onto USC’s campus
asking some of my classmates and other students where I am. (Seen by the school
as a form of harassment)
*He finally finds me on campus to let me know I needed to
sign over my POA rights to his mother regarding his cancer treatment. BTW never
signed to be a POA.
3. Not to mention when
the police came to my classroom to ask me what was going on (after the police
received a phone call about Shun and I having a heated discussion outside prior
to my class starting) and me telling them that I had ended the relationship the
Sunday before yet he kept calling my job, popped up on me at my internship,
sent a policy officer to my apt for a welfare check, as well as showed up at my best friend’s house
where I was staying at 7am in the morning during the week, they did what they
had to do.
Before I was escorted out
of the building to go to the police station, I was told that regardless of if I
wanted to press charges or not, because he came on the school property with
these antics, they have to press charges due to the nature of the conduct, etc,
etc.
Honestly, before I left
to go to class I stated to Shun that he needed to leave, this was way too much
and that I didn’t want to do anything to jeopardize him or myself.
All of these antics
surrounded his claim of having cancer which in the end was a complete lie. My
opinion is that it was all a ploy started to get me to stay in the
relationship.
People aren’t always what
they seem; however, there are events that occur to make people act out of
character. Whichever one it was regarding this situation, it has happened, it
is settled and we both have moved on with our lives in a more positive
direction. At the end of the day we all are human and make decisions that we
wish we could’ve done differently or not at all. As for Mr. Griffin, I wish him
well and hope that he succeeds in life.
If there are any other
posts after this, please remember that with every negative there is a positive.
Walking in someone else’s shoes is something that we all try to do but you can’t
until you use your own shoes and walk down the same path.
