Replacing Jim DeMint with Stephen Colbert would certainly improve our image nationaly.

I believe PPP also did a poll of potential primary opponents for Graham. They will prbably drop that tomorrow.

Replacing him with Joe Wilson or any of the Dysfunctional Wilson tribe would deteriorate our image nationally–assuming it can deteriorate any lower than it is now.

Just goes to show how irrelevant polls like this are and/or how stupid the respondents are.

While a preponderance of the respondents are stupid unfortunately the polls are not irrelevant.

DeMint’s approval/disapproval was a mere 49-40. So much for holding the ‘most popular SC politician’ title that FITS is always labeling him as. Of course, next to Haley’s lousy numbers, he is do well by comparison.

Also, note that just as many people thought it was inappropriate as appropriate for DeMint to resign.

given the 1 to 1 split on the appropriateness of DeMint’s decision, it’s safe to say his numbers were much better prior to last week’s announcement …

Why is it that no one ever asks my opinion on such a nationally-reported poll?

The Washington Post is reporting that Haley won’t appoint a placeholder, and that she will be ‘available to the media’ tomorrow in North Charleston.

DeMint got a big pay raise moving out of the Senate.

Colbert would have to take a big pay cut.

Yea, and his votes would give Nikki the shits!

And this is why I’m not a small-d Democrat. You can’t trust regular citizens to make substantial civic decisions. (And yes–I know that’s what Americans already do–but just look at where the country is now.)

The PPP Survey say both parties in SC gave Jenny Sanford high marks.

Colbert is not funny, neither is the other idiot John Leibowitz. Funny perhaps if you are in the 8th grade.

You obviously do not watch the shows.

I think Colbert is a Glaring example of how un-creative, lame and liberal so-called comedy is now…

It’s pretty much a Bash of anyone not Leftwing Idiot…and it passes to the dullards and dolts as funny…

This dude is as every much as self-promoting, opportunist, greedy and grubbing as Mark Sanford, FITS or the Housewife Hos of NY…

So little has any charater or depth anymore…and Colbert is prime support of that fact…

If you give him any credit (sse FITS) it’s an indication of your own lack of ability or talent…

Just as at the Correspondent’s Dinner a few years back, Colbert is too hip for this room.

Maybe Sid can discuss the frequency distribution of colors in the sky? It would be just as amusing.

There’s the old saying: “If you are the brightest person in the room–you are in the wrong room”. Well, it appears that in the aforementioned company, Colbert is “in the wrong room.”

Bonhoeffer,
That is why I drink so much. At cocktail parties I drink to make other people seem interesting to me. After and hour or so it become apparent that I am the second most popular person in the room — all the rest of the losers are tied for first place.

Judy, I’m kind of like George W. Bush in his younger days, “I like the taste of it.”

Colbert is more intelligent than any politician that would be coming out of South Carolina.

Can’t believe Joe Wilson got any votes at all. The pollsters must have hit upon the Wilson clan in their polling.

Knott December 11, 2012 at 1:10 am

Why did Fits just report a flat out distortion. No, 20 percent does not equate to a group wanting anything.

it’s obvious Tim Scott is getting the seat, and no R will dare run against him in the 2014 primary to avoid the “racist” tag.

Reply
Knott December 11, 2012 at 1:12 am

Just a bit of googling, but this polling company is democrat party run. Fits should have done their homework.

Reply
Cuvinny December 11, 2012 at 4:35 am

You must of done some real in depth research considering it is on the front of their website. Did you see where they were the most accurate pollster during the presidential election?

One of the WORST consequences of Obama 2012, you have Chronically FAILED and Stupid people (like Vinny) sure they are Right…

You F*^&kin Dumb@$$…that poll was going to have Obama Winning no matter what…They are just lucky that the there are enough cheaters and/or idiots in Ohio, Pa. and Fla. to make them seem relevent to idiots, like you….

Dear Stephen Colbert……

Let’s sit here shall we and really consider what you would bring to the Senate after this appointment.

1) You know how to entertain voters and educate them while they laugh. Does Jim Demint or Graham or Clyburn give voters nightly updates and outlook..?

2) You have generated how much tax revenue for Comedy Central and the U S Government….

3) Would you consider yourself more open and transparent than DeMint and Clyburn…

4) No voter in the State of South Carolina would consider Al Franken a joke in the Senate…..and your better than him..!!

5) You may have to give up your slot on Comedy Central but you still would have the freedom of speech to have a nightly WEB SHOW from your Senate OFFICE for charity…!!

6) …….

Why would he have to give up his show? Just move the production studios to Washington. I see no reason he could not do both.
