It is, in fact, 100% racial – Miz Lilly is only in this position because she is black. There is no other reason that she would have been hired – the racists here are Darryl Jackson and Jim Clyburn, and any other elected official who does not demand Miz Lilly’s resignation and replacement. And “incompetent” is kind. She needs to be FIRED immediately – her office cluster fucked the entire election – which will cost the people of Richland County mabillions in higher taxes and will drive local merchants further into the red as consumers flee to Lexington and Kerhaw to shop, and as new empty busses prowl the skreets looking for riders to get assaulted and robbed.

It is rare for me to express myself in such harsh language, but when someone insinuates that I am “racist” (which is false) then my asshole puckers – and I don’t like it.
As a life-long Southerner, born and reared in the deep south by caring parents, and an extended family, who never expressed or taught me anything but respect for other people. This included either race or circumstances in life, and I feel that I was treated the same in return.

Let me tell ya, this is nothing compared to what he pulled in georgetown county a few years back. Clyburn helped Dayo and Beulah White get earmark money for an organization called five rivers, which was supposed to use federal money from HUD to help low income families get into their own homes. Of course, they never really helped anyone but their friends and themselves, and after some digging from David Wren (The un-news, myrtle beach) charges were filed by solicitor Greg Hembrees office. Now, here is where it gets really interesting; The first time they showed up in court they both claim not to have money for an attorney, so the court appointed one to represent them. THEN a year later, lo and behold they are being represented by none other than Charlie Condon( former attorney general, SC). How bout that shit! And of course, Charlie would’nt fess up to who was paying him (And you Know a former AG can’t be cheap) or how he got involved, but anyone with a half o brain could figure all that out. I live on acreage in Hanahan, a suburb of Charleston. All of my neighbors are hard-working African-Americans (I am the only white guy). Most live on very large heirs property lots. About 10 years ago developers purchased a huge tract of land surrounding this historic former freed slave community from West Virginia Pulp and Paper. They proceeded to flatten these several thousand acres and build thousands of wall-to-wall cheap homes, condos, and a gigantic apartment complex. In this process (in collusion with local government) they refused to extend infrastructure improvements a few hundred feet to the original residents. A few years after the development began they did provide city water.
Developers are drooling over this remaining undeveloped tract where hundreds of wild turkeys gobble their way through the underbrush and deer abound. Hey! Who needs wildlife when we can have parking lots?
I contacted Ms. Clyburn about the “rural Americans” in my neighborhood who were refused upgrades in the phone lines to allow high-speed internet access.

It would not do much good as it would receive no attention. All of the media in Charleston, especially the TV stations, are in the pocket of the monied interests. I guess the point that I was trying to make is that periodically these African-American politicos step out of the box and make statements to mollify their constituencies and make them believe that they have someone out there speaking for them.
