The Middle East: “Let Them Eat Bombs”

AMERICA SHOULD STAY OUT OF THIS FIGHT

The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire … we don’t need no water let the motherf*cker burn! Burn, motherf*cker, burn!

For those of you not hip to Rock Master Scott and the Dynamic Three (or The Bloodhound Gang), that’s a lyric from one of our favorite early-1980s hip hop songs.  It’s also our view on the rapidly emerging crisis in the Middle East – where the nation of Israel is on the verge of a full-blown war with Hamas.

For those of you who’ve had your maps stolen, Hamas is the Palestinian Muslim political party that rules the Gaza Strip – a 140-square mile stretch of land located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea north of Egypt.

Naturally, this brewing crisis has everyone in the Middle East (and in Washington, D.C.) on high alert – especially radical jihadists affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood (Hamas’ parent organization), who are no doubt feeling their oats in the wake of the Arab Spring.  In fact in addition to the rise of radical jihadists across the Muslim world, Hamas itself is expected to be much better prepared for an Israeli invasion this go-round than it was in 2008 – the last time tensions flared to this level between these two belligerents.

So who started this fight?  And where is this conflict headed?

We don’t know … and we don’t care.

Here’s the basic math of this crisis: Muslim nations are going to do whatever they can to attack Israel – and Israel is going to do whatever it can to defend itself.  No amount of neocon babble from the “right” or Muslim sympathy from the left is going to change that basic dynamic.

We’re not saying America should completely tune out what’s happening in the Middle East.  Obviously our nation has interests abroad, and we believe those interests – and the lives of our citizens – should be safeguarded.  But we are not – and cannot afford to be – the world’s policeman.

Unfortunately, like the administration of George W. Bush before it – the current leadership in Washington, D.C. keeps confusing our objectives.  While continuing to wage a pointless war in Afghanistan – the administration of Barack Obama has tragically dropped the ball when it comes to protecting our citizens and our interests.  Look no further than the order given to the CIA to “stand down” during a September 11 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya that killed four of our citizens (including a U.S. Ambassador).

And while singing “Happy Norwuz” to the Muslim world … the Obama administration never told us the Benghazi attack was orchestrated by al Qaeda as opposed to being a spontaneous offshoot of Libyan protests (their initial story).

But we digress …

We’ve made this fundamental point before, but it bears repeating: “It’s not America’s job to make the world safe for democracy, it’s America’s job to keep this Republic (or what’s left of it) safe from attack,” we wrote last December. “Pardon our isolationist insensitivity, but these warring sects can detonate themselves into oblivion for all we care – as long as our troops aren’t getting caught in the crossfire.”

And for those of you neocons waving the Israeli flag in our faces, mind the words of  Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“You don’t need to send American troops to defend Israel,” Netanyahu told U.S. lawmakers recently. “We defend ourselves.”

Exactly …

America has an obligation to dispense disproportionate violence whenever its citizens are attacked (something we’re waiting on Obama to do as it relates to the recent Libyan attack).  We also have an obligation to protect our interests abroad whenever they are threatened.  We do not, however, need to continue engaging in “nation-building” in the Middle East – where our presence is clearly unwanted and where nation-building clearly isn’t possible (even if it were a core function of the American government).

We need to stay out of this fight – and reassess our policy of interventionism around the world.  Why?  Because continuing down the current path not only costs lives that can never be replaced (and dollars we can’t afford to waste), it also invites the sort of terrorist attack that our nation experienced on September 11, 2001.

We need to be a nation that trades with all countries, respects all cultures and preserves a strong military hand for the purpose of protecting our people and their property – not a “global force for good.”

Besides, we surrendered that moral authority a long time ago anyway …

I bet if there were a crusade to kill all the atheists and liberals…all the pop culture Butt-Outskies would PLEAD bloody Murder for the US to stop the onslaught and save them, because their gods had failed…

Or what if all the Euorpean Nations attacked African countries…I bet FITS would call any American who wanted to stand down, a Racist…and he’d D@&*n our country to eternity for our non-intervention….

Liberals are exactly what they say they HATE…

Conservatives believe in justice for all…Liberals just want to protect those who feed their Greed….

But then again, that’s kinda what you are saying in a round about way huh? IDK Will, seems like you wanna have your cake and eat it too….or maybe I’m just misreading you.

According to a number of sources (even on MSNBC) the US will be totally energy independent by 2030.

Now, that could change in a heartbeat, but if that is the case there is cause for hope. That and the Arab male population between 15 & 40 years of age is supposed to peak around 2020. Nothing worse than a bunch of young men with nothing to do but listen to some Mullah telling them that all their ills are due to the decadant infidels in America.

If we can just keep a lid on things for the next 10-15 years, we just might make it……

Whoa! MSNBC? You don’t say?

LMAO!

I don’t buy that one bit, but for the record I hope you’re right.

Then again, I don’t buy the CBO projections showing decreased deficit spending in a few years either…so my aluminum foil hat is screwed on quite tightly and you’re not getting it off.

I also have seen the energy independent story in other sources besides MSNBC. However, the key to that situation is our ability to export coal to China and continued exploitation of domestic natural gas and oil reserves (Ohio, and the Dakotas). The environmental lobby is opposed to all of that. Coal exports will have to travel by rail to newly built (dredged) ports in the pacific northwest. Of course they are also opposed to domestic exploration of oil and gas reserves. Its a case of making tough decisions. Something that the American public seems loathe to do.

I need to clarify my MSNBC news source a bit.

90% of my MSNBC viewing is “Morning Joe” and that is where I saw the crawler and heard Joe and the regular folks talking about it.

And the main reason I watch “Morning Joe is to eyeball Mika!!!!!

I never would have thought that I would ever think of a 40+ year old chick as a “sweet young thing” but it’s 5 months till I hit 60!!!

Noone can say Mika’s ain’t easy on the eye….

“You don’t need to send American troops to defend Israel,” Netanyahu told U.S. lawmakers recently. “We defend ourselves.”

If Israel does such a great job defending themselves, why do they need gobs of money from us year after year? Why do we give them military aid? Why do they want us to go to war with Iran in place of them?

“We defend ourselves.” Funny shit.

Israel is the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign assistance since World War II. To date, the United States has provided Israel $115 billion in bilateral assistance. Almost all U.S. bilateral aid to Israel is in the form of military assistance, although in the past Israel also received significant economic assistance. Strong congressional support for Israel has resulted in Israel receiving benefits not available to any other countries; for example, Israel can use some U.S. military assistance both for research and development in the United States and for military purchases from Israeli manufacturers.

In 2007, the Bush Administration and the Israeli government agreed to a 10-year, $30 billion military aid package that gradually will raise Israel’s annual Foreign Military Financing grant from a baseline of nearly $2.55 billion in FY2009 to approximately $3.1 billion for FY2013 through FY2018. For FY2013, the Obama Administration is requesting $3.1 billion in FMF to Israel.

If anything I hope the US will supply each side with enough bombs and missiles to kill them all off. The Middle East has only been killing each other for the past 2000+ years, if they want to do it right let’s help them.

THE JERUSALEM ENQUIRER – November 16, 2029

US – Israel Peace Talks

US President George Barnett and Israeli Prime Minister Shoshana Vohu met here today regarding on-again off-again peace negotiations and though, as expected, no breakthroughs were announced, the two leaders pledged their commitment to the long-standing “special relationship” between the US and Israel.

Talks focused on the role of an objective mediator, pressure for concessions, the need for secure borders, and the possibility of reassessment.

But the Jerusalem government asserted that it will continue to supply the US with the sophisticated weapons Washington needs even if the US and Canada are unable to resolve their bitter territorial dispute. Israel has also been aiding Canada.

Yesterday marked the ninth anniversary of America’s attack on her northern neighbor (Washington still insists on the term “defensive maneuver”). Israel has sought to act as an honest broker in the dispute, offering arms to the US if it will agree to return Toronto to the Canadians, and lawyers to Canada if it will agree to withdraw its army from Detroit. Israel’s expanding law schools, already turning out enough lawyers to maintain 700 battle-ready regiments of military attorneys, anticipate no difficulty in fulfilling Canada’s need for barristers.

“We do not expect peace overnight,” an Israeli spokesman said, “but we are talking to both sides and will remain even-handed.”

The Canadian Prime Minister is expected to follow President Barnett to Jerusalem in hopes of reviving the stalled peace conference, an (continued on page 75)

Hamas and the losers who follow it are a lot like FITS and the un-“Civil” rights movement in the US.

They are low character idiots, like Jessie Jackson, who beech and compalin all the time for the sake of rebellion (because they are too stupid and lazy to think of anything constructive.) They have it better than they deserve, and they have had way more handed to them than they could ever earn in a Fair game…

Hamas needs to read the Old Testament. Heathens who attack based on hatred of God have been destroyed over and over…

If we’d just let Israel TCB…Obama’s Muslim Brotherhood would realize the promise of ashes to ashes, dust to dust…

And: My feeling is that sooner or later, Obama too, like all false gods of the world, will go the way of Ozymandias….For there is nothing new under the sun…no matter desperately liberals worship their idols…

Why do we see the need to always take up for Israel?
Our taking their side in a religious war is 99% of the reasons Muslin extremiest hate us. Which caused 9/11.
Then all Jews on Wall Street caused the economy to crash.
Why do we feel the constant need to placate these whinny Jews?
I’m not racist in the least. But I am very picky about who my friends are. The US should start being picky as well.

Not that there aren’t any that is…………..

Actually come to think of it, I was served by several of them when I was in Israel but it was basically pass the Mcabee…

Which is kinda the national beer of Israel and ain’t bad……

Plus, I’m sure there are a number of them in the Catskills but the average Southerner dosen’t have a clue about the Catskills….

But I get your point. I can’t see Woody Allen being a bartender!!!

George Herbert “Hoover” Walker Bush hoped that a war would boost the US out of a recession, so he managed to set up a coalition ofr nations to invade Iraq because of their invasion of Kuwait. The war briefly boosted the economy, but it was too short to kick us out of the recession.

I think that Iran wants Israel to fight two fronts. Hamas doesn’t have the technology to launch rockets that far into Israel. Iran will enter later.

I had a feeling that “W” would start a war with Iraq, so I bought stock in a company with defense contracts (they also have civilian contracts) 3 months before the war at $20 and sold it later at $70.

Several hours ago, Obama told the Israelis that it is now OK to defend their country. This was a tremendous relief to the Israeli government and military because they were worried that Obama would send in a team of SEALS to spank their asses for defending THEIR NATION without getting his prior permission.

The Israelis kept their defensive military tactics hidden from world view to avoid getting spanked. This was after getting shelled by Hamas for about 10 days.

However, Obama did not actually tell them to do it but rather let it be known that he would not oppose it. This is in line with his usual attitude of ” I don’t know shit about any of this, and keep me out of it.”

After releasing his statement, Obama continued to eat his Jello fruit salad aboard Air Force One, contented that he had done his part to contribute to WORLD PEACE. After all, he has a Nobel Peace Prize!
