Perhaps he was referring to people who may have provided funding for the ad? Or did you pay for it yourself?
Oh – wait – it’s a superpac, right? So you don’t ever have to tell anybody where the money came from.
jed has a point…
Are there any polling number on this race? The only scary thing about a Martin loss would be the potential replacements as Judiciary Chairman…
David Carter, my campaign manager, tells me I’m ahead.

HOORAY!!!!
I say, of course he is ahead. The good people of Pickens County are too smart to fall for Rice’s lies or the lies of any, I say, scum–oh–escuse–me “super”pac!
Let’s not forget how far out of the mainstream the Upstate Tea Party and Palmetto Liberty PAC Scorecards are as well. Also, if he was that bad of a legislature, why did the SC Chamber of Commerce, BIPAC, and the NFIB all endorse him? All three groups are for limited government that allows businesses to prosper. I will take their endorsements over Upstate Tea and Palmetto Liberty PAC any day of the week.
Good work David! I’ll be sure to give you a raise because you are doing a great job as my Campaign manager!
Oh, and don’t forget – we have to keep my vote to force Sanford to take the Obama stimulus money quiet.
Again, great work. Thanks for all the help.
Correction-Legislator
Jed not only has a point Jed is correct. Taxpayers have a right to know who is paying money to influence elections. They need to know what people who give money to attack or support politicians expect in return for their money.
Why do these people hide. Because their goals are not the priorities of the most South Carolinians. They want you to ignore the man behind the curtain.
Liber-TEA is nothing but another tool of the voucher lobby. People who want to attack public education but don’t want anyone people to know who is footing the bill.
Politics sure do make strange BED fellows!
Sen. Martin once told my secretary, “I will resign if Haley is elected, she’s crazy”.
wait till the FBI hands out indictments on this one!
I’m guessing it’s a lightly veiled reference to Howard Rich.
How did Martin vote in relation to that whole voucher thing?
I found the spin from Carter to be interesting…there’s lots of BS groups touting “fiscal” conservatism all over the place.
I know first hand the SC Chamber is a pile of horse shit…I’m sure with enough digging you can find the others to be echo chambers for their various patrons as well.
It’s a big money war to define the “truth”.
This is what you get every time when you give gov’t so much power…lots of special interests spending money for the big “payday”.
Enjoy sheeple, you get what you richly deserve.
“Martin”… scored an “A” on Haley’s report card
Honey BooBoo’s guide to Haley’s grading system
A = Asshole
B = Bastard
C = Cunt
D = Dingbat
F = Fucking Idiot
Roll on Gypsy Queen Dooh Nibor, dammit roll on !!
Is it Bowie rich?
Being able to follow every itemized government expense would be a tax payer’s dream come true. And it’s not really that expensive to run the program when everything is entered into data bases.
Martin has a sickness between his ears, no doubt. Much be still stuck in the 1960s.
Who is funding you Will?
Actually, I’ll make it easy on you. What percentage of the dollars you are spending are coming from out of state?
Don’t even have to give me names or addresses…
Run along, and be a good little libertarian, get all transparency like and tell us.
We’re waiting.
Andrew,
I would love to know that tid bit of info as well. Anyone who thinks the SC Policy Council, Palmetto Liberty PAC, and RINO Hunt are conservative should ask those groups why they are joining forces with radical liberal groups such as Common Cause, CCL, etc. They all get their funding from the same place.
Atta boy David!
I don’t know if people care what you think – but great points!
Question everything!
By the way… how do we defend my pension?
Do we say I work harder than teachers and police? That sounds good to me. Makes sense because I get more from retirement than they do.
I see that LIBER-TEA, LLC, is a for profit organization.

The “for profit” status is increasingly the norm. Why not? Traditionally, most political marketing and advertising firms made their money using a cost plus model, usually cost plus 10%.
The new business model (and trust me and others, political advocacy is a lucrative business), developed before but advanced and honed since the Citizen’s decision of the Supreme Court, it’s much more lucrative to create the PAC using “hot button” issues as a magnet for contributions. Spend what you wish on advocacy whether real or contrived, and pocket the rest. It’s legal, it’s more profitable, and the fools who fund it are: 1) Glad to have the mouthpiece and don’t care about the markup, or 2) Too damn rabid to understand they are being fleeced. Why limit one’s markup with a cost plus? Hell, it may even beat the paid professional fund raising scammers of the non-profit charitable groups.
The “Founding Editor” may be egotistical, offensive, and imbalanced, but I don’t think he’s a fool. I’m quite certain the puppet master adviser, Nancy Mace, is not.
It really wouldn’t matter if it was a for-profit or non-profit. Whoever controls it pays themselves whatever they’d like off the top of whatever they raise. When all is said and done, someone’s gonna make some money off this. Folks may be lots of things, but he’s gotta keep that Pimpfinti rolling large.
David, how can any conservative Republican defend the Chamber of Compromise? The chamber is nothing but a group of RINOs and Liberals who support higher taxes and big government at the expense of liberty and economic freedom.
Liber-TEA = Bagger-TEA.
The Tea Baggers are on their way out – watch what happens on November 6th.
Their claim to be a grass-roots movement “of the people” has been thoroughly debunked and they’ve been exposed as simply a tool of the very well organized and very well funded professional, extreme right – think Dick Armey.
